[/quote]To fix my sleep schedule I have a very specific formula.
First: Get away from light up anything for two hours before you plan to sleep. Light from computer screens, lamps, and other devices restrict melatonin production and keep you from sleeping well.
Second: Take one melatonin for about three nights a half an hour before you want to actually try and sleep. You have to be trying to sleep for it to work. Melatonin isn't like other sleep aids; it just gets you to where you want to sleep. But, if you don't actually try to sleep it won't work.
And that's pretty much how it works. After about three nights it should get you on a decent sleep schedule. All you have to do it keep it and make sure you get at least 8 hours. Generally, that's the hard part for most: sticking with it.
Warning: Don't take melatonin regularly or your body will figure out your taking it and stop production for the dosage your taking. Same with caffeine.
