<font color="199ce6]Seri gathered the braid that hung down her back and gave it a few twists in the sink, letting the water that had gathered at least not add to what was already on the floor. "Yes, i'm fine. Just-....a bit w-wet..." Looking about at the kitchen, she sighed and knew there could be water damage for how much spilt out. Maybe not for a long time, but the renovations Ruka had done were fairly new and it would be a hassle to get them redone in ten years time.
Also, someone might come down for a midnight snack, slip and hurt themselves. Seri couldn't let it be at just that.
Carefully, she moved closer to Saydri and grasped his arm just before her foot lost traction and wet slipping off to the side. She stumbled just a bit, grateful her other leg maintained balance but when paired with her tall friend she was in no danger of falling. "You look-....m-miserable..."
A smile was offered to him, a little cheeky grin while she stood with him, holding onto his arms. "Y-you didn't do anything to-....warrant an ap-ppology. But, we should try to-....get the water up. Dinner can-...wait till next time..."
It would have been easier if she'd froze the water before falling the ground, concentrating time to completely stop just around where the facet was spraying the liquid but Saydri might have gotten involved or stuck since he was covered in water as well. So, she would need to clean up the old fashioned way.
A map, buckets and rags.
<font color="9ce619]Saydri was looking around him, noticing the water that slicked the tiles and cabinets. He had made a right mess. He was irritated in himself and the emotion lingered and built up within him when he noticed all the possible damage he could have caused. Kitchens were built to stand up to a lot to his understanding, most should be fine if cleaned quickly.
As she moved closer to him he watched silently, a flicker of panic appearing in his eyes as she half slipped and his hand came down to grasp her waist. She seemed to straighten and catch herself against him. Settling the momentary panic, and glancing at the woman he realised that she was just as drenched as he was, perhaps more. Both of their clothes stuck to them.
He wasn't so sure that he didnt owe many apologies. He'd made quite the mess, and he knew Seri was already tired and now she had more to tidy up. Saydri wouldn't have her tidying up what was his fault when she was exhausted. He picked her up and set her onto the floor by the oven, where she wouldn't slip once more before removing her hand carefully from him.
Moving back over to the chair, he took his jacket from where she'd put it and moved back. Nuzzling the top of her wet head as he slid the fabric around her, uncaring if she wet it. "Water will make you colder," he said quietly it was almost a question but not quite. He wasn't certain that it was the same with her but he did not want to make her sick. "You cook and I will clean?"
<font color="199ce6]He pulled away from her and gathered his coat. She half expected him to walk out on her as Saint hd earlier that evening. Leaving her to do the work herself with not so much as an explanation. However, she had to disband those thoughts. Saydri was much kinder than Saint, and much gentler with her body. If anything, he was going to call someone....that was a phone in the coat pocket, right?
Or gum, she wasn't sure.
Her thoughts ran wild for a moment as she stood by the stove, water dripping off her body and hair when she felt his warmth again so close. Seri smiled, reaching for him instinctively and leaning against him to gather his warmth. She should feel guilty for not trusting him, but it was such a fleeting thought there was no reason to dwell on it.
The leather coat was once more around her shoulders, and Seri shook her head, looking up at him with red, tired eyes. "N-no....it'll be-...ruined..." He didn't seem to care about his leather jacket. It was real, she could smell real leather a mile away. Nothing quite beat that scent, and on a man it was very very nice. "I'll-...make sandwiches....f-faster and we can-...eat in my room with a m-...movie...?"
As her face leaned against his chest, she felt a little flutter in her chest when she asked the question. If he accepted her invitation to her room, he'd see what it was an perhaps get the wrong idea. Maybe it wasn't so good of a plan, but she had already asked...
Darn it.
<font color="9ce619]Saydri wasn't put off by the fact that Seri moved closer to him again, leaning against him and soaking up his warmth once more. He paused with his hands still on the jacket when she shook her head, water droplets flying slightly with the movements. His own auburn strands were damp and clung to the back of his neck, though the emerald headband kept it out of his eyes.
Uncertain what she meant at first that it would be ruined. What would be ruined? He wondered curiously before he caught onto the fact she meant his jacket. "It won't...it is treated to handle it, though perhaps not the inside," he said thoughtfully as he slipped it off her shoulders again and pulled out his phone cautiously. He threw his jacket back over to the table where it landed and he replaced it with himself, arm curling around her.
As she looked up at him grey eyes softened slightly, she looked so tired.
He lightly brushed her hair as she settled her face against his chest, surprised that she had mentioned sandwiches when the pasta seemed half done. He was cautiously pressing a few buttons on the phone not wanting a repeat of the tap. He didn't want to waste food. "I like sandwiches and a movie seems...nice, but what of the pasta sauce?"
Staring at it silently. "I can't find the address book."
