<font color="9ce619]He sensed something illusive within the young woman, something different but not in a bad way. He was different after all, even among his own people. Something familiar almost. Saydri let out a soft rumble that was part hum and part purr as the slender woman nuzzled against him. Of course it also helped that she didn't seem to think he was strange - at least that he'd noticed.
As she pressed closer he accepted it, never questioning the reason she curled within his arms or accepted him. His body naturally ran at a little higher temperature than most humans, but not to Setrin's extreme. Still she was warming up where her skin was pressed against his own, even where their foreheads met softly.
It had been some time since he'd been this close to someone.
Well someone other than Setrin, how he'd made friends with the fiery loud-mouthed phoenix he still wasn't sure but he enjoyed the company. But coming out of his thoughts he frowned slightly at her laughter, though his body naturally leaned towards the hand that traced upwards. Uncertain as to why until she told him that he smelt like rain and grass.
"No...the rain," he trailed off deciding it wasn't important. People thought he was strange when he associated scents with people's emotions at times. Instead he went quiet again as Seri moved closer and rubbed against him, pulling a mild smile to his lips once more. She was like a cat...
Saydri glanced away suddenly realizing that the warlock had disappeared at some point after Ruka's own. It was somewhat...unsettling that he hadn't noticed. Perhaps he'd disappeared to lick his wounds or to recuperate after whatever had occurred.
His attention returned to the woman that was listening to the quiet thump of his heart within his chest as she held him. One hand lightly brushed back over her hair before sliding down her neck, noticing that she seemed far more relaxed now and he quietly lowered his head. He nuzzled gently at the top of her head, taking in the mix of scents.
Saydri could ignore his own scent and focus on hers. It reminded him of snow... fresh and cold. Most would say that snow didn't have a taste, a scent... but they were wrong. It was subtle almost the absence of it, the freshness, the hint of sweetness...something that was impossible to put into words. "You smell like snow...and a hint of flowers."
He blinked at the question and thought about it before shaking his head slightly as he straightened, "No, I haven't. Are you hungry?"
<font color="199ce6]Her skin against his, even in the smallest bits that touched, warmed her. The chill she always felt around her body like a layer of ice. Empty and unforgiving like the stare of the moon. If anything, she'd like to stay like this as long as he let her.
Eyes closed, fanning impossibly thick, long lashes to her cheek when he embraced her in return. Her mind solely focused on Saydri. Ruka had left, this she knew since she had watched her leave, and the one in leather pants must have left as well. If not, than he remained in a room alone while the other two were in an embrace.
It was an embarrassing idea, but one that made her chuckle as well.
"...Snow...and flowers?" Seri remained quiet a moment as she thought about that. He had said rain earlier, but perhaps now it was something else since they were closer. Perhaps..."I like-....snow flowers... and yes, i'm-...k-kinda hungry." her creature stirred at the thought of food. Yowling as both their stomachs grumbled in anger.
Last time she had eaten was perhaps a week ago. Like most humans, she enjoyed scarfing down mountains of carbs; pasta, bread, potatoes, anything she could heat up, put some salt, pepper and butter on and eat. She could cook, but sometimes it took too long to prepare a meal in the amount she'd need. One meal a week, and she'd not have to feed again for at least five days. Ten if she was without immediate accessibility.
Luckily, the kitchen was always over flowing with food here, so she had snacked. A snack which often was the size of a meal for a man. How one as thin and fit as her could eat so much could only be explained by the fact she merely wasn't human.
"We should-...make something, yes? There's-...food in the kitchen." She made to pull away, only the moment she did her body shivered from the missing warmth. Seri focused on his chest, forcing the goose bumps to go away the longer she took to remove herself from him.
<font color="9ce619]Saydri wasn't uncomfortable despite the mild chill that surrounded the woman within his arms. He wasn't in any obvious rush to release her or move away. This woman that smelled of something so faint and almost indescribable, as close to nothing as he'd ever smelt...but there were hints, fragments swirled within that spoke to him of familiarity.
Comfort and contentment flowing through him as he stood silent and unmoving. Something that usually unnerved others, the sudden stillness that he could adapt. Though as she seemed to focus on pulling away from him her words brought the image of small white flowers to mind, peeking out of the snow and amongst the rocky mountains. The image fit perfectly - or at least the ones where he came from.
"I like snow flowers," he murmured quietly against her strands.
At her question the grey eyes seemed to warm and he smoothed his hand lightly over her back. The familiar fabric under his palm and he was thoughtful, his auburn strands settling free other than the small plaits within. She reminded him of so many things... flowers, snow, a snow cat with her purring and nuzzling. Such an intricate puzzle.
"You...evoke such interesting sensations and memories," he murmured in a soft voice as he lightly stroked her cheek with his thumb before turning his gaze in the direction of the kitchen. "If you'd like? Cooking might be enjoyable though it is...late."
A distant look in the grey eyes as he stared at the wall, lips parting as he looked down at her once more. A look in his eyes, speculative...thoughtful as he glanced at her lips and then her eyes. "Cook or go out?"
<font color="199ce6]Hands remained on his waist, fingers slipped under his shirt to toy along the skin she found there with cold, feather light caresses. Seri no longer leaned against him, his warmth a memory she craved to have again. But at that rate, the pair wouldn't leave their current position behind the bar.
The way he felt in her arms, the way he stood like a solid object. Tall, soft yet firm with taut muscles ad warm. Warmer than anyone she'd ever embraced before. Not that she went around holding people, but she had her encounters with hand shakes, hugs and the like. And yet there was something else that she enjoyed about the man still with in her grasp.
He kept her evil at bay.
He didn't scratch and snarl against her or try to use words to whisper to her. No, he lay still. Those eyes of swirling black just watching with the subtle hint of desire with in them. Seri could feel the stare in the back of her own eyes, felt it pressing against her as she stared at Saydri's chest. She could see the rise and fall of his lungs and the feel of his breath falling over her hair and across the tip of her nose. Her body shivered at the feel of his hand running down her back over his coat, creating a brief purr to vibrate from her throat
"Do I...?" she inquired to his murmurs while nuzzling against the thumb that stroked her cheek. "Hmm~....Yes, it's a bit late for...cooking." Her lifted her gaze to meet his, her eyes locked in his while she saw them drop to her lips.
Seri felt her self purr at the idea of his kiss. Tempting and warm, fresh or salted. What would he taste like against her lips? Wound he devour her or savor her as he had when they embraced? She was glad he did not push her away or feel odd with the way she took hold of him. Some often mistook her lack of expression as a lack of emotion. She knew she was cold, and her gaze sometimes unwelcome. But that did not mean she was without feeling.
"Go out...for dinner...? Like-....a diner or fast food?" she tried to think of places open at 2am, aside from one you drive up and order things wrapped in paper or closed in boxes. It did sound nice to leave, but considering she smelt like beer and it was getting rather sticky, she shook her head to decline.
"Perhaps...another day we can go out. We can make alfredo and mix it with left over chicken from yesterday. If-...you don't mind..." Standing on her toes, she leaned her chest against him and placed a ghost of a kiss to his cheek. Hands grasped him at his waist to keep her in place while she nuzzled into his neck, inhaling his scent and taking more of his warmth.
