Ishara closed up the homemade inspiration binder with a light huff. She smiled sympathetically at the wedding planner. "It's not problem, dear. I have plenty to do around here. We'll just see what she comes up with?" She reached for the blonde's hand and rubbed it affectionately. "As for you...please, make yourself at home."
She glanced out the window to watch the hesitant bride crossing the backyard and taking the trailhead that led to the river. "My other son should be home from his tours soon. My daughter may pop in as well. I'll set them to entertaining you while she does her thing."
Owen barely had clawed toes in the cool river when he became aware of Julianna’s scent moving. Becoming stronger. Coming closer to him than she had been when in the house but wandering in the wrong direction. He lifted his head in the direction that her intoxicating scent was coming from and became curious as to what she was doing in the woods.
He left the bank of the river and cut directly towards her which meant he wasn’t walking winding on the trail they kept that led from the house to the river and beyond. When he got close she would surely hear him before she saw him.
Being as large as he was didn’t lend itself much to stealth so he risked frightening to her as he made his way towards her. Though he wasn’t trying to carry loudly, leaves and branches were crushed underfoot. When he spotted her on the trail he froze. She was looking around in the woods to identify the sounds he was making and he could smell the fear on her.
He didn’t mind the scent of her fear in other creatures it could be torturous to smell and often their panic leaked into his emotions leaving him feeling restless. This was the express reason why they didn’t allow hunting on their property. They all wanted to avoid experiencing second hand terror.
After a few moments of observation, Owen moved making himself known to her. He climbed a little embankment and padded onto the trail behind her. He continued his approach of her as if he didn’t intend to stop, as if he wasn’t afraid or concerned at her presence. Once in front of her, he sniffed at her with a snout that wiggled with the effort. A curious bear who was as tall as her on four legs as she was on two.
