Maeve was the first to turn away from the rented vehicle and look to the woman that had appeared from within the house. Julianna lingered near the car, pulling open the rear door to root around in her belongings to find something. The blonde was already waving back and calling polite hellos by the time Julianna slammed the door, her camera in hand. A compact, but complex and expensive looking SLR camera, that she immediately started fiddling with while her friend made the preliminary introduction.
Julianna found herself being pushed forward when the bride question came into play. “Yeah,” she agreed, forcing a smile when Ishara implied that she was excited. She held the camera in one hand and fiddled with the large diamond ring on her finger that had outed her as the bride before Maeve had pushed her into the center of attention.
“I am already in love with this space,” Maeve gushed, side-eyeing Julianna and taking note of her obvious hesitation to bring attention to herself or the wedding. “It’s great to meet you,” she added with a bright smile. The smaller woman was more than happy to let Maeve take over, because she honestly didn’t want anything to do with the wedding. After being trapped in the car she was itching to go out and do some exploring, because Maeve wasn’t wrong there was a lot to fall in love with.
Greetings paused as Ishara beckoned another, and Julianna lifted her head to watch a tall blonde approach their little group. Tall was too much of an understatement. Not only did he tower over her, but he was broad. Large, over all, in such as way that made her feel downright diminutive. And he was staring at her. With clear grey eyes that she found herself staring right back into.
Conversation was happening around her again. It was a muffled and distant sound in her ears. It wasn’t until Maeve nudged her in the ribs that she realized a silence had fallen as they stared each other down. Julianna startled, tucking her own arm down to ward off further assault from her friend.
“H-hi,” she managed, blinking out of her trance.
Ishara was beckoning them inside, and Julianna found herself watching the back of Owen’s head as he walked with his mother in front of them. Simultaneously, she was trying to decide when an appropriate time would be to break away from the group.
“Has the ranch always been in the Hart family?” Maeve chimed from her left, she shot glares down at her friend, behind the Harts backs, who she thought was being rude, only to have them ignored.

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.
