<img style="max-width:25%;float:left;margin:0 18px;" style="avatar" src="http://i.imgur.com/Kg8kHEX.png]A cock of his eyerow from behind his own mug was all Ashrun would receive for the moment as he took a long sip of the soothing tea. Setting the nearly empty glass down it was clear he had that air of peace about him. Regardless of the trials that were to come his way, their way, he could accept it having made a friend out of it all. "So it seems you are a bit of a flatterer yourself." Behind that smile he wore though, his thoughts were as always racing at light-speed. Could he make a life for himself here on Aman? In all of its savage and primitive ways, he saw potential for growth, certainly how readily they adapted technology pilfered from off-worlders. The answer was yes. However, would he also do everything within his power to return to the freedom of the stars?
That question did not even require a mental reply.
Still, apparently his restrained hold of his features had cracked enough for Ashrun to glimpse at the distraught he felt in his plight. Her soft digits graced over his own, and he'd turn his hand over to rub his thumb comfortingly against her, as if to reassure his companion that he was alright. When she returned her hand to her person, Azreal clasped his together and placed them in his lap, eyeing her across the small table as she'd been doing to him all morning.
Forty sunrises, forty days. The time frame Azreal now had set for repairing his ship, and if that failed finding an alternative means off of this planet. An inopportune period for him to have crashed here. From sunrise to sunset did not seem to be too far off from a typical cycle back home, but the peaking trio of suns in the sky overhead made any task unbearable to accomplish, cutting their window significantly. The shifter did not fear the cold, certainly he was better suited to such environments, but Aman was anything but ordinary from what he'd gathered in his short experience. If it meant that he would have to solely fend off the wildlife instead of her people, perhaps then would be a far more beneficial stretch to attempt working on his vessel. This was all conjecture until proven otherwise.
"Thank you, this facility fascinates me. I cannot wait to explore every inch, and if anything is found to be of use in repairing my craft, or aiding in our survival, then that's all the better."
The truth of the matter was that Azreal planned to scavenge whatever he could from the numerous rooms and building in this underground base regardless of her wishes. Thankfully, Ashrun was sympathetic to his cause, and clearly interested in helping not only her partner, but in discovering whatever the group that left this expansive structure behind was up to. Well, maybe the latter was a touch of projecting on his behalf, but all the same, she did not seem opposed.
Sitting more rigid in his chair now he'd since finished his cup of tea, lacking any desire in seconds either in food or beverage. Instead, he was raring to go, not that he visibly expressed such desires. Azreal had yet to see what was required in securing their well-being on this harsh world, but he'd quickly adapt once shown the path. With his wit, skills, and ability, he had no doubt in his benefit to Ashrun, now he just had to prove it.
"Looking forward to another story I see? Or am I just that pleasant to have so close? How can I say no to that?"
He'd be lying if he said that teasing Ashrun wasn't becoming a favorite pastime of his, she just made it easy to poke fun at, that and he found her each of reactions priceless. At the end of the day, if they were to get the work they needed to done with, then relaxing by her side in a comfortable bed sounded perfect. "I'd suggest a sizable tarp of some sort to bring with us. I have a larger form that would be suitable for transporting most of whatever I can take from the ship in one trip hopefully."
