<img style="max-width:25%;float:left;margin:0 18px;" style="avatar" src="http://i.imgur.com/Kg8kHEX.png]Priding himself on a honed sense of refinement, Azreal wouldn't even make the slightest gesture to show he was pleased that his choice was one of her best blends. What he would notice was Ashrun adding a small pinch from the drawer she'd warned against him trying; it was unique in coloration, but rather lacking in what made one pick a variety of tea, a distinguishable smell. What would change between now and when it was acceptable for him to have a taste? A minor curiosity, but a nagging one all the same. With his tea steeping, Azreal could only wait patiently while taking more sensible bites of fruit and bread compared to the night prior. This was hardly a mean had in urgency, more so one of tranquility, a build up for what would hopefully be a less than hectic day.
Steam wafting up from his mug, Azreal let the herbal scents hit his nose and let his back slide somewhat into in the chair. She needn't worry, the golden eyed shifter knew without a doubt this was a drink to enjoy. Certainly a more pleasant start to his morning than the night terror he'd been apart of. Azreal waved off any addition to his tea, instead raising the wide rim of the cup to his lips to gently blow at the amber liquid.
Taking but a brief sip to test the strength of the brew, he gave an approving sigh before removing the strainer to set it aside. As with how Ashrun felt, he himself did not consider her his confidant. In fact, few were considered close enough for such a place in his inner circle. When one deal in deception, the trade of information that held one's life in the balance, and cold-blooded assassination, there was little room for error when picking one's companions. One wrong word slipped from their lips could endanger his safety, and likewise was true for him towards them.
His tongue was hot from the tea, but he preferred it as such as letting it cool too much would ruin the experience in his mind. The forms he could take would indeed prove useful in a hunt. One in particular because of it's size would make for ease in bringing back a sizable haul of supplies negating numerous future trips. "I think you'll approve of what else I have in store for you to see." If Ashrun was having fun with him, then so too was he by mimicking her by hiding his grin behind his mug. If he were to make it back to his ship though, barring the chance that it was either looted or completely destroyed, there were weapons and tools there to be used in furthering their survival.
Above all else though, was the cargo he'd been tasked to transport. Not that he thought the contents of value in the grand scheme of those that paid for it, as he'd taken a peek during one of the many spacial jumps. Quite a hefty price had been put up for it's safe keeping however, and likely if the attacking party did not come searching for his demise, than either his own organization, or the one's who bought their services would.
"My thoughts exactly. I don't know what if anything can be salvaged, but it would benefit us both to take a look as soon as we can. At the very least, it would let me confirm just how viable repairing the ship is, if at all." A long pause as Azreal was stopped suddenly by the weight of his own words sinking into his core. It was a truth he did not want to face were the situation more dire than he hoped it to be. Finding solace in this most important of questions would let look towards the truly long term scenario of living on Aman. "I don't know if we can hide a craft of it's size easily, but perhaps I can find a way to deter others from treading too close." Whether or not any of the auto turrets worked was not even up for consideration, but he might be able to find a way to activate the blast shields to seal the entrances; it would make for a more difficult attempt at breaking in.
"Trust me, if today will be anything like yesterday, I match your feelings on not wishing to stay out for any period past what is necessary." Even dressed in a far better breathing attire, Azreal had no desire to make several treks through the jungle whist dragging animal carcasses and sacks of supplies behind him, not with all three of those harsh suns beating down upon him. Finishing off his drink, he set the mug down in front of him and looked into Ashrun's periwinkle hues as he found himself doing more of as he grew more comfortable around her. "Are your people superstitious then. I've seen some strange sights in my travels, but I've never been much of one to fear the tales told to me as a child." Ignorant as it might have been, arguing a cultures ideals always made for interesting conversation at the least, and perhaps would give some hard facts for him to work with. Or she could be pulling his chain entirely, which was amusing all the same.
