<img style="max-width:25%;float:left;margin:0 18px;" style="avatar" src="http://i.imgur.com/Kg8kHEX.png]Initially, Azreal watched Ashrun while she made an attempt at retrieving whatever container she had to store her collection of teas. Personally, he preferred coffee if he could get it, but at the moment he was not one to be picky. Reaching up as high as she could for the top shelf, he admired her figure from behind in his semi-coherent state. From the bottom of her toes to the ends of her fingertips he looked at her muscles and lithe limbs working in tandem; with Ashrun in her current outfit it left little to the imagination. Another low yawn and he turned those inspective and curious hues back to his hands clasped together on the tabletop. He wasn't often one to peer at another without their knowledge, but when given an opportunity to do so with his own mental guards so low, it could hardly be helped.
Shortly thereafter, Ashrun returned with the box she'd been struggling to retrieve, setting it before Azreal for him to take in all of the wild scents it brought. Of course, when mentioning the one choice he could not have, he'd circle a lone digit across the wooden surface of the container with a goofy sort of grin as he cocked his head to the side to stare into those blue-purples eyes of hers. "<font color="d4a017]Well, now that you've told me, it only begs for me to try it sooner. I will heed your advice and pass on it this time." Few had managed to work themselves through the cracks of his proverbial armor to get a man like him to loosen up so much so quickly. Ashrun was special in her own right, that was for sure.
Instead of following Ashrun's departure to view her actions, he would instead open the various drawers of loose-leaf tea. With sensitive ears the shifter could nearly envision her every movie while he pinched samples to bring to his nose. The clang of metal from the kettle, the material of her slippers sliding about against the floor as she moved. Then what little noise there was for a brief period became the soft breaths she took, fingers peeling at the different fruits he'd seen earlier. Finally, water coming to a boil and Ashrun replying to what he had asked before. All of this he would dwell on, though not so much that he wouldn't catch his friend returning with a waiting gaze of his own.
"<font color="d4a017]Yes, the needs of the community over the individual. A hunter-gatherer society, which makes sense considering the situation you all are in being outcast from the only...civilized hub of your people." Azreal put the term civilized quite lightly, a pause beforehand to give thought on whether or not to even let the words slip out. Still, it wasn't meant as an insult, nor was he praising the one's holed up in what had been described as a fortress more so than a city. Like with Ashrun, like with this facility she called her home, like this world to a degree, everything had some point of intrigue to it here. A sense of the unknown would push him to investigate the capital in due time if only to see why those individuals thought themselves so righteous over those that they exiled. If the technology he'd seen thus far was of their own doing, or merely pilfered from travelers across the stars and repurposed for their selfish desires. Azreal didn't know, but he would. His life revolved around the bartering of information, and the lives that were balanced on strings because of it.
Ashrun set their breakfast and the pair was back to their seating arrangements from last night, to which Azreal had to wonder how many more of these sit downs they would have together. Surely they'd continue for his stay on Aman, the two were well on their way to being codependent. What would their relationship be like if he was able to fly away with her so to speak? This was a topic that he could spend far too long contemplating, so he broke the awkward silence on his part to show his choice of tea. "<font color="d4a017]I'll take a cup of this." He'd left one of the drawers open and inside wafted a fragrant mixture of mint and citrus. Only then did Azreal tear at a slice of bread and chewed on it. The fruit she'd laid out was more tentatively selected, but after a bite from what appeared to be a mango with strange coloration he ended up going back in for another piece without hesitation. "<font color="d4a017]With myself taking up residence here, we will have to plan accordingly with how we being back food. I will say, I look forward to proving that I'm more than just a pretty face to have around." Cracking a grin, he'd anxiously await his tea to finish steeping before he could take a sip from it. Perhaps it would help ease the sense of dread that had been hanging from his shoulders since he'd awoken.
"<font color="d4a017]I do request that we check out my ship though when we go back up to the surface. If safe to do so, I'd like to see if I could salvage a few things of my own." Likely, his ship had not violently detonated, which was certainly for the best as it meant at least some hope could be had for escaping this planet. However, with Ashrun describing her people's tendencies to scavenge whatever they could get their hands on, it begged to question if someone or another had found his wreckage yet.
