That particular man had a way of striking a unique sense of fear into others, the shapeshifter included, perhaps more son than most. It pushed him to focus on a threat he had not thought about at this point in time, but found himself unable to stray from. It was not outside of the realm of possibility for the organization he worked for to send out a search party to find a trace of one of their higher up officers. What would happen if Zeno himself came to seek him out? While busy in his own right, his "boss" was not without the means or drive to hunt down someone gone missing, certainly if he believed them to be cutting ties. With what Azreal knew about Zeno personally, and the intricacies of the organization, he was a loose end that would either be kept on a short leash, or snuffed out entirely. If he were to come to Aman, then Azreal likely would be rescued, but not before a merciless slaughter of the people of this planet.
With his nose in a pot of herbs that he had absentmindedly thought to unseal and smell to determine if they were of use to him in his current state, Ashrun herself stumbled into the kitchen. They were in fact but another spice of some variety, so he pulled back with a strange look of disappointment. Setting the container back where he'd found it with a yawn, Azreal wondered in his jumbled head whether or not he should even let her know about his night terror. The shifter did not see reason to hide what was essentially a trivial affair. Yet to even lay eyes upon Ashrun, like her his lids were struggling to remain open. A preferable option was to nod off where he stood to let his body catch even the quickest of rests; unfortunately, that simply would not come to be. "<font color="d4a017]Oh, no. I don't even know what I'm looking for, really." Anything to keep himself from dwelling on less than enjoyable notions of a rescue, but that was no answer he deigned to give her.
The notion of tea would be what snapped him to his senses quicker whatever he was trying to attempt currently. "<font color="d4a017]Sounds perfect, it will certainly help wake me up more so than stumbling around as I am now." Finally releasing himself from a mild bout of depression he'd groggily rub at his face. Ashrun's approach wasn't even caught until she'd managed to reach his person, taking hold of the cuff the shirt he'd slept in within her dainty grasp. Awkwardly, he looked down upon her with a tired smile, coming to realize that he'd never even bothered to run through any sort of morning routine after getting out of bed. What a mess he had to be at the moment. "<font color="d4a017]Relatively. I did get to sleep, I just had a less than pleasant dream." Most forgot about their nocturnal illusions with haste upon waking up, but vivid images that he'd been privy to were not so easily cleansed from his mental pallet, nor was Zeno's chilling speech. The monster had that sort of presence though, there was no denying that even in his dreams he was a demon to warn your children about. Azreal wanted nothing to do with that particular subject though, not right now.
Instead, he'd make his way over to the same chair he'd sat in for dinner the night before to ramble off . "<font color="d4a017]I have some ideas on what I'd like to get done today, but I'm finding myself coming to a realization that even if I'm in a rush, it won't help me come up with a means to leave get off this world any faster." The truth of the matter in his eyes, was that he was meant to be here for some reason or another, and until that purpose was served he would be staying here for a spell. Though, if his escape could be expedited in a way, Azreal was not one to let that opportunity slip by. "<font color="d4a017]So tell me, what's a typical day for you like? Unless we're just going to lounge about for a bit, which I'm not opposed to." Golden hues were shot her way in curiosity, unable to wipe that smile from his features, despite all the stories he could tell, Azreal would always be partial to be the one to receive than to give.
