That curl to his lips widened in response and a low hum reverberated in his chest in amusement. Ashrun could be teased with but the simplest displays, and that amused the shifter to no end. Azreal understood that his figure was well sculpted, to be envied and lusted over; it was designed to be as such. Most found his height appealing, and certainly he had decent tone to his form, but not overly so. If there were scars he'd taken measures to remove them, but his training and style of combat rarely put him in the way of a blade.
With her out of the bathroom Azreal would continue stripping down to his skivvies and then nothing at all. The cool air brought gooseflesh all about him, making the steam rising out of the tub all the more a priority. Still filling, but full enough, Azreal slipping into the bath one foot at a time. His heightened senses couldn't make out a peep from Ashrun on the other side of the metal barrier, so he assumed her to have vanished to wash his filthy clothes and prepare dinner. Stinging at his skin, the water was far too hot to be comfortable, but it helped in soothing strained muscles. When he settled himself into what was really just a shallow pool, the water had risen enough with him inside to turn the faucet off.
Azreal stretched out feeling tension leave his body, sliding further into the wide pool until he submerged fully. It was a tight fit for sure as his feet reached the marble surface of the rim, but he reveled in being cut off from any sound other than his own heart. Golden eyes closed to the irritation from exposure, and he went into deep contemplation over his situation.
'<font color="d4a017]I have no idea who shot my ship down, why they opened fire, and how the hell they knew I would be where I was at that pivotal interval in the jump.' It was perhaps the most important mystery to solve over any intrigue this planet possessed, as even if he managed to find a way off the attacking party still existed and he had no clue of their origin, and had no way to gain information on them while he was here.
Bubbles escaped his nostrils, but he continued to stay beneath the plane. Holding his breath was of little concern as he could likely hold it for longer than he ever needed; like this he was better able to focus on the matters at hand. '<font color="d4a017]I know little beyond what I've gathered from Ashrun, who I find myself lucky to have come across her over any other native. From what I've heard of how she's been treated her kind seem quite primitive in their ideology regardless of how they've advanced.' The only true city he'd come across was at a glance in the middle of his crash landing, and while it seemed beyond what he expected from a world that had yet to be deforested, he had to question how much of it had been pilfered from past travels. In regards to that, just why did this place seem to attract off-worlders considering how off the galactic grid Aman was.
Sitting up and breaking the surface of the water with a splash, he exhaled the remainder of the air held in his lungs for several lengthy in what had to be a sigh. Perhaps Ashrun would have a few answers for him later tonight, if anything though, he'd at least get to share a bed with another. His fellow shapeshifter was pleasant enough for him to view regardless of what she probably considered deformities, and her way of life matched his own in relatable ways. She accepted him regardless of having every reason not to. Beyond that, she took him back to a well hidden safehouse of hers without knowing if he was even a threat or not. Most would call that idiotic, himself included, but that did not mean Azreal wouldn't respect her all the same. He owed her for this, and would work out an appropriate compensation in the future even if she did not desire anything of the sort.
Looking around he grabbed what he guessed was a bar of soap. It was far from any of the name-brand products he was used to, but as he scrubbed himself with the lightly scented bar he didn't see any need to complain; the job would be done regardless. Getting himself lathered from head to toe was a tedious, but fulfilling process practically able to feel the grime flow off of him. Without the adrenaline rushing through his veins to fuel his fight or flight instincts his body was coming down from the burned energy, a low, unflattering rumble from his stomach given in return. Needless to say, a man like Azreal took his time with his bath, but when he finished he'd be sure to wrap a towel around his waist and seek out Ashrun for either a fresh pair of clothes and a meal, preferably both.
