<img style="max-width:25%;float:right;margin:0 0 18px 18px;" style="avatar" src="http://i.imgur.com/sQHiypv.png]She was still rolling her eyes over Tau's turn of phrase, as she sat back down behind her desk. <font color="#bd1185]"Onion booty," she muttered, audible to no one if she were anything other than alone. Her phone came to life noisily as an influx of messages filled her screen. There seemed to no such thing as a moment to herself, but in her business this was better than radio silence. Her couriers relayed through text when an item had been picked up or dropped off. Modern technology gave her access to time-stamps and tracking devices. She could keep tabs on her entire network from her phone or her laptop and the notion pleased her endlessly.
She sighed and opened the folder she had been carrying with her most of the evening. It contained a new contract for the retrieval of plundered estate jewelry that may have contained some not-so-bloodless diamonds. It was child's play for her group. The cargo would be loaded onto an armored truck in broad daylight, and who ever had mapped the route had foolishly avoided traveling through the heart of the city. They would leave themselves open one-hundred different ways, but Lakshmi only needed to target one to get her way. It would be quick, clean, and quiet, but that wouldn't stop her from charging a small fortune for the favor.
She was still reviewing the contract when Tau joined her. Studying the text with intent as she thoughtlessly tapped the end of a pen against her polished desk. She didn't look up, even when he stood at attention in front of her desk.<font color="#bd1185] "Thank you," her response was somewhat distracted. It was hard to tell but she was pleased as punch that issue had been dealt with. Especially without a report claiming they would also need to purchase had a dozen new chairs. Rhythmic tapping stopped when he voiced his absolution, and she rolled her eyes upwards to look at him.
She sat back in her chair, turning the pen between thumb and forefinger as she looked him over. <font color="#bd1185]"Ah, yes. Well, the next time I need you to do your job, I will certainly take your penchant for flirting into account." The words seemed scolding, but her tone was light an a small smile played at the corner of her mouth.
She scoffed when he commented on her appearance. <font color="#bd1185]"I look impeccable," she challenges. Which was not untrue; primped and polished and manicured she generally did not fall on the spectrum of what one expected a smuggler to look like. <font color="#bd1185]"But you are not wrong. My husband keeps calling about Were-serpents. I guess the local Nagah clan has taken to crushing their victims to death." She waved a hand casually, as if the whole notion was banal, and not worthy of her time.
<font color="#bd1185]"Just to be sure, we do not have any dealings with Nagah correct?" This was a question better suited for her Gamma, wherever they were, but Tau was here and perhaps he knew something.

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.
