<div style="text-align:center;]<span style="font-size:10pt;]Jannin (WIP)</span>
In addition to the full gamut of senses, sexually mature female Jannins can enter a stage of intense strength, speed, and cognition known as a "Beserk Mode." This mode is only entered when a female's cub is hurt, or in danger. It has also been documented that a female can enter this state in defense of the cubs of close friends, and family.
Jannin fur is soft to the touch when properly managed, and can range in color from black, brown, white, and rarely red. Their faces are comparable to river otters, with elongated snouts similar to canine species. Their ears closely resemble that of wolves as well. Jannins also have tails that extend usually to the end of the kneefold. Grabbing a Jannin by the tail is generally seen as a form of harassment outside of close friends and lovers.
The Jannins are widely considered to be the most physically adept species of the three most populous races in the galaxy. Where the Zeloans are tall, the Jannins are taller, where the humans are quick, the Jannins are quicker. Their skeletal structure is calcium-based, and is built for toughness and quickness. The biggest drawback for the Jannin is their immune system does not allow for a quick recovery. A broken limb in humans can take around six weeks to heal, while the same injury will take an adult Jannin nine months to fully recover from.
Birth rates are on an upswing, and after a year-long gestation period a cub is born. Twins and triplets are uncommon, and seen as a sign of good luck for a family. Sex ratio is near even.
Jannins are bipedal, with a pair of arms and legs.
Jannins have five fingers on each hand, with opposable thumbs. Their feet have five toes as well.
Jannin irises can be all colors found on the spectrum, often signifying lineage and/or where the Jannin came from.
The average Jannin male lifespan is 85-90 years old.
The average Jannin female lifespan is 100-110 years old.
The average height for a male Jannin is 7.2-7.8 feet tall.
The average height for a female Jannin is 6.4-7 feet tall.
<div style="text-align:center;]Planet Zonessia
<div style="text-align:left;]Zonessia orbits the star Canopus and is the fourth planet in the system. Comparable to Earth, Zonessia boasts tropical and temperate zones. Majority of the population is centered around the temperate zones, the tropical zones sometimes being too hot for the fur-clad Jannins.
There are two major continents on Zonessia, in the modern day, they are usually just called "Northern" and "Southern" continents, but the Jannian names are "Le'vei" and "Le'erc" respectively.
Quote:"I dare say it is quite the stroke of luck that their planet was so cruel to them. Were it not for plague and disaster, there is no doubt in my mind that they would have conquered the galaxy." - Excerpt from Zeloan Codex, 1877.The Jannin are a bipedal species located across the galaxy. Their fur-covered, muscular bodies are a direct result of their upbringing on their homeworld of Zonessia <Zoh-ne-SHA>. With males standing much taller than the other species that call our galaxy home, they command a very intimidating presence. Jannins have the full compliment of five senses, with smell, sight, and hearing far exceeding the limitations of their Human and Zeloan counterparts.
