As notorious within drug circles as it was popular with Lunar youth culture, the club's back alley business style and cyberpunk roots shined through the dim dregs of miscreant society to provide a haven for the lesser known pleasures found on Icarus. Nestled between partnership shops and eateries, Radius boasts a vast and secretive clientele who come for the atmosphere, as well as the company of the staff. Like walking into the inside of an arcade game, a field of light and sounds fill Radius' core, hinting at the endless chatter and laughter of the patrons within. Tables are set up to surround the circular bar area, and dancer's podiums find a place nestled between, where exotic creatures of the galaxy show their skills and technique in sensual unison with the music. An eclectic mix of futuristic chic and old fashioned sex appeal, the bar counter is usually the most populated area, but still emits a sort of tantalizing sway over customers. The most commonly seen bartender is Reyr Capriana, a curvaceous Martian with legs for days and vibrant orange locks, but others are available if the club becomes busy.
Some come to Radius for a good time, but others are strictly business; this is why the club runs so smoothly. Countless galactic heavyweights frequent the club, and in such, tend to appreciate their chosen venue for business to remain in one piece. There are bouncers and security present at all times, with cameras scattered across the nebular decor of the ceiling and walls. unless you rented a room, there is no such thing as 'privacy', but this is a fact of life on the space colony - Radius is no exception.
A private office above the hustle of the main floor is where the owner of Radius spends much of their time, though very few are allowed entrance into their domain within the nightclub, and even fewer have reason to want it. Rumor has it that the owner is nothing more than a myth among customers, and the club runs itself, but again - no one truly knows.
The rooms for rent are simple, and ultimately, disposable. So many of them are socketed into the upper floors that you would be hard pressed to ever see Radius filled to capacity. Reasonably priced and geared towards simple living, a rented room consists of a bed big enough for two occupants, a kitchen area, a small bathroom, and a decent space for living room furniture. No one can beat the price at Radius, which is likely how they acquire so many new occupants.
Lower Lunar is a derelict's dream, a reflection of a city who took no time building up, and in such, lost touch with it's roots. While elsewhere on the colony, the world is described as colorful and warm, the neighborhood housing Radius is cold sprawl of urban ingenuity. Whether or not this is the sort of area one enjoyed exploring didn't matter usually, as the club is the main attraction, but a brave few venture the hard streets in search of adventure, and regularly find it.
