Mauve splashes spun around their pupils, irises dilating their tricolor canvases as the street life continued to bustle around her. Free hand rose so a gloved finger could trace the outline of the performers jaw. Seemed the same under scrutiny that Taiga could be convinced she was headed in the right direction. After so much time in seeking mode, it was a wonder she even had the wits about her to accept this new option. Still, it felt right. It felt like she had somewhere to go, and there, someone to be with. Idly, she crunched the pedal to her motorcycle to give it a few loud revs. No one present on the streets seemed to know what to make of her vehicle, being it was two centuries extinct in most parts of the galaxy, but Taiga always had her bike, no matter how far she had to lug it.
Done for Aisling... Rather, Aslan.
Taiga had heard true love never dies. It does. Countless times, over and over, reincarnated in a cyclic grind that could drive anyone insane trying to keep up with it. Taiga may have come off a bit changed by her allotment in transit, but when one fell in love with a Goddess, they committed to chasing hopes across star clusters and habitable quadrants of space. There were many different women she could recall fondly, each as precious and dear to her heart as the last, as they all housed something far greater than themselves. Taiga didn't understand the full scope of power, but she knew what it meant for her partner, and every death was just one more search she would need to set out on. Mourning came in moving, and the Fae was always headed somewhere else. Far from the origins of their love affair, there were light years spanned and numerous lives lived, all of which the creature traversed without complaint.
Even if she had something to bitch about, who was there to listen?
The trip to the listed location wasn't a long one, though Taiga didn't seem to notice the pedestrians and hovering vehicles surrounding her bike. Weaving through the traffic brought unwanted attention to the Fae, eyes she didn't recognize from species she had never encountered before, yet there wasn't pause to her pace. Actually, the angry calls and honks of horns only furthered her recklessness, sending her streaking towards the club noisily. She arrived with tires crunching to a stop just a few yards from the entrance, crushing torn gravel road in their wake. Dismounting with a slow sigh, the Watcher shook out her violet coif and left the bike alone, knowing she could easily track it back down if someone was dumb enough to steal it. Not that they'd have any use for it.
Glowing orbs were met with a neon flood of strobe lights as steps led her through the crowded passage, the club's front entrance filled with more unfamiliar presences that sent her senses spiraling. The joint smelled like candy and sex, the air thick with perspiration and pounding beats. Something seemed to ping on her radar, but it only brought a frown to her determined features. Where she was meant to be was upstairs, hosted in a less congested area, and an obliged Taiga thanked the robot who gave her directions. So she ascended the steps two at a time with eyes peeled and ears perked in a spacious radius, hoping to catch any sign available of where Aslan may have been.
That was until she spotted the show, the stage, and in that moment, the love of her life.
Lips curved slowly into a smile as she watched from the distance, unable to hide her pleased visage as a Tiger was seemingly removed from this existence. Having seen magician's work before, Taiga didn't immediately jump to what magic may have been used, but she did feel a sense of pride towards the performer. That was her woman, making a crowd gasp in astonishment. Not speaking as whispers were shared among the viewers, it was simple to just let the show commence, and in the back of her mind, give praise for every action and mannerism the Magician made. It was like living in the Twilight Zone. She could see the subtle similarities as well as the differences, and they seemed to engulf her attention for the entirety of the act.
It wasn't until Aslan finished with a showy wave that Taiga snapped out of her fixation, straightening her posture so the leather jacket wrapped arms under her bosom could be unfolded. Sunglasses kept her vision hidden, but they did nothing to keep the glow from beaming. Likely, she looked as strange as any other alien floating around the club, which brought about a sense of calm to her composure. There was no need to work hard to keep her existence hidden when everyone else was inhuman to some extent. Her glamour didn't drop, but it was a muted half attempt out of habit. At some point, she had lit a cigarette, and it burned a translucent red under the light fixtures. Practically background, Taiga skirted the crowd to watch Aslan head towards the downstairs bar, and in her usual looming fashion, she pursued unnoticed.
A conversation occurred at the counter between the Magician and some dude, but Taiga didn't intervene, despite half wanting to strangle the stranger. It was a matter of territory, wasn't it? The gentleman shoved off shortly afterwards, off to mingle elsewhere, and Taiga took advantage of the situation to sidle up to Aslan and take a seat on the now unoccupied stool. Flicking her cigarette, the Fae blew a plume of the crimson smoke upwards and commented offhandedly, "Guess he was a fan of the show." Shooting the other woman a playful smirk, she added, "You were very good, you know. Best I've seen. Is there a secret you'd like to share?"
