Nicholas' bottom half was notably less colorful than the top. Charity was trying very hard not to notice this, however. Keeping her eyes solidly on his face. She didn't have any tattoos herself, and found the art on him to be interesting.
Even though she could perfectly map the series of events that put her into this situation with the prince of Veridian, she would not have believed it could happen. Not even if her favorite clairvoyant from the Divination School tried to tell her so.
She made at face at him as he casually mentioned she could stay there. Out of the question as far as she was concerned. Late night or not, she absolutely could not spend the night with him.
Charity took Nic's outstretched hand and stepped into the arrangement of candles. A magic circle had already been cast. It felt like stepping through a physical barrier. Pushing aside a gauzy screen and entering into a purified space, sanctioned specifically for the ritual they were about to cast. She didn't know why she was choosing to Nicholas in this moment. No one else ever could have convinced her to participate in a spell she knew nothing about
She was intrigued. He was intriguing.
Charity knelt down on the other cushion placed opposite of him. He wasn't wrong. She could feel her magic responding to the space. Almost as if ready to guide her along, and eager to participate in the spell. "Alright," she muttered, still playing at indignant. She released his hand and let hers fall back to her side. "Let's get this over with."

I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.
