RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 05-27-2017

It had been a week since her run in with the hunter.

Julianna had been laying low. She rationed her pilfered blood supply as usual, but didn’t venture out into the night as often as she would have. She was wary. She’d compelled a vampire hunter. He wouldn’t like that at all. Even if it was something as harmless as a good night’s right. She wondered if he was mad.

Wondered if he was watching her.

The walls of her apartment were beginning to drive her crazy. She was restless and the late night infomercials weren't doing her any favors. She dressed in her usual attire: dark leggings, dark hoodie over a tank top. Running shoes. Inconspicuous. Julianna left her apartment and walked alone to the nearest gas station and convenience store. She assumed she was alone, it was wholly possible that a salty vampire hunter was following her.

Keeping her hood up and her head down, she entered the shop and moseyed around for awhile. This was, perhaps, less inconspicuous, but she was trying to avoid the eyes of nosy late-night patrons and security cameras. Grabbing two coconut waters from the cooler, she turned on her head and walked back towards the front counter.

There was a man in front of her. She could smell blood on him. Also, fear, but not his own. Julianna looked around. There was no one else in the store, and only one car parked near a gas pump outside. She dumped her coconut waters onto the nearest shelf, and walked outside. She shoved her hands in her pockets and neared the lone vehicle. Same blood smell, same fear smell as she drew nearer. Struggling sounds in the trunk.

The man inside had noticed her walking towards his car. The bell on the door chimed, drawing her attention. “Hey!” he shouted at her, long and quick strides carrying him across the lost and towards. “Hey,” he said it again, when she didn’t acknowledge him. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

He reached out a hand to spin her to face him. “Get the fuck away from my-” His words were cut off by a surprised cry. This time the smell of fear was his own.

Julianna’s eyes had bled into darkness. Red surrounded by a sea of black. Blue and engorged veins traveled away from her eyes; her lips pulled back, revealing her fangs. She looked truly monstrous. His shouts of fear were silenced by Julianna’s hand on his throat. Easily, she lifted him from the ground with this grip, and in an instant they disappeared.

The vampire carried the man behind the building, she pushed him up against the wall. He plead and whimpered for his life. Julianna didn’t seem to hear him. She could only hear the frantic pounding of his terrified and guilty heartbeat. Releasing him, his body slumped down the wall and onto his knees on the ground. Julianna moved behind him. Fingers in his hair, wrenched his head back and exposed his neck.

Her other hand clamped down on his mouth to stifle his screams, as she sank her fangs into his neck.

Owen wanted to be watching her. Unfortunately, he had not yet figured out where she lived. The plan to follow her home discreetly had been derailed by her little trick of compulsion on him.

That isn’t to say he wasn’t looking for her.

Oh, he most certainly was.

Surveilling her typical blood banks. Tracing the path he'd taken to confront her that night about the blood she stole. Investigating buildings known to house vampires in the hopes that he would find her somehow. He left no stone unturned.

Despite these detective efforts, Owen found her by pure happenstance. He was on the way to following-up on a lead about an apartment building, passing behind the gas station when he looked over to see a vampire bending over a man who was quickly going limp.

It was her.

“AH HA!” He shouted pointing a finger at her. Admittedly, this was a rather childish way to confront her but he could roll with it. “Well, well, well what do we have here?” Stupidly, he moseyed up to the scene, sauntering cockily. He couldn’t help it. He’d just practically won a bet. Proved her wrong.

Here she was hurting someone when she claimed she did not hurt people.

Owen so loved being right. Oh, he loved it.

But here he was approaching a feeding vampire. Pretty high on a list of inadvisable things to do. Along with base jumping. Riding a motorcycle without a helmet.

He fished in his pocket for a cell phone with one hand, the other was held outwards pointing a stake launcher affixed to his arm under his sleeve at her.

“I will be contacting the proper authorities about this vicious vampire attack.”

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 05-27-2017

She hadn’t expected him to show up, but almost simultaneously, she had.

Wide and dark eyes riddled with a blood lust rolled to look at up at him beneath a fringe of dark lashes. Julianna leveled her gaze on his, but she didn’t discontinue feeding from the man. Julianna knew what the hunter didn’t. That the man had two kidnapped girls trapped in his trunk. She didn’t know if that would sway his opinion of the situation.

Right now, he was gloating, and she was content to let him, as she dished out her punishment on the pervert.

The man in her grip was weakening, his heart pumping slower, the blood flowing less freely from the puncture wounds she had made in his neck. The hunter was moving closer, the sound of his fluttering heart was loud in her ears. It was the sound of that rhythm, not his threat of authorities, that finally prompted her to release her victim.

The man slumped forward and Julianna stood straighter. The bottom half of her face was covered in blood. Red stained her mouth, her chin, it ran down her neck and disappeared into the dark fabric of her shirt.

Her sights had not left the hunter since he’d appeared. That terrifying countenance of a feeding vampire hadn’t left. She stepped over the man to take one step closer to him. Then another. She could smell him. He still smelled as good as he had the last time she had seen him. He still looked as good too. He lifted an arm towards her; the one she knew to be armed with a stake. Somehow, that defensive posture brought her to her senses.

Somehow, it had hurt her feelings. The black disappeared from her eyes and the veins smoothed and receded. She blinked at him. She pouted at him.

“There are two little girls trapped in his trunk,” she explained, gesturing towards the vehicle still parked at pump number 4.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 05-27-2017

He was wholly unprepared for the sheet of dark hair that fell over her forehead and into her eyes, for eyes which were looking directly into his as she fed. From his vantage, he couldn’t see any gore, just full lips pressed to a pale neck.

The neck should have been his.

I mean.

She stood up. The man slumped down against the pavement. Forgotten. Owen didn’t care about him. He was transfixed for a moment. She seemed to float towards him. Strangely beautiful with blood smearing down the bottom half of her face. Lips parted with perfect, deadly fangs on display. He wondered what hers would feel like those sharp points under soft lips.

Fuckshit. Goddammit, no.

The rhythm of his heart became more persistent, his breath quicker. Was it fear? Or was it arousal? A twitch somewhere in his pants suggested one conclusion. His mind wondered: why not a little of both.

Her change changed him in turn. He blinked back at her in confusion trying to register what she’d said. Girls in a trunk.

“Wha -” What did that mean. She was...defending some kidnapped girls? “What? Who do you think you are... some vigilante vampire?”

This was really no time for debate.

“You should have called the police, like I’m about to.” His fingers moved on the cellphone, typing in the phone number for the authorities. He hesitated in executing the call. His eyes flicked to the man on the ground and then back to her, "Is he dead?"

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 05-27-2017

Julianna frowned at him. The blood around her mouth accentuated the sharp and downward curve at the corners of her lips. “Not a vigilante, no.” Her gaze darted to phone in his hand. She moved towards him, supernaturally fast. In the blink of an eye Julianna closed the distance between herself and the hunter, and pulled the phone from his hand.

It had been easy. For the first time, in too long, she was well and proper fed. Her heart worked at a normal cadence to pump stolen vitality through her body. Her skin was warmer and brighter. Her muscles didn't ache when she moved, using her powers didn’t fatigue her. For a moment, she felt so good, she’d forgotten why she’d stopped feeding on humans at all.

With a shrug, she cancelled the call, and pushed the phone into her pocket. “Not dead,” she informed him. She walked back over to the body. Planting a foot against the man’s shoulder, she kicked the heavy form over. His mouth was opening and closed like a fish that had been pulled out of water. He couldn’t get enough hair, Julianna wondered if she had crushed his windpipe when she’d grabbed him. Blood still trickled from the wounds on his neck. She didn’t feel any sympathy.

“But dying.”

Julianna left the scene, walking away from Owen and the pedophile. She approached the vehicle she had mentioned earlier. Slipping her fingers into the grooves in the metal, she ripped open the trunk of the car with one quick and easy motion. Just as she’d said, two young girls were bound and huddled within. They couldn’t have been older than twelve or thirteen, and they didn’t seem any more pleased to see a blood covered vampire, than they would have been to see the man.

“Shhhh,” Julianna cooed, her eyes once again going dark. The girls stared back at her, calmer now and hypnotized by her gaze. “I’m here to help you,” she reassured, loosening cloth gags that had been secured in their mouths. “Going to get you home, and make all of this go away.”

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 05-27-2017

Owen didn’t even have time to respond before she rushed at him and snatched his phone away all in the blink of an eye. His hand was still poised there in the air for a few moments as if holding an invisible phone. “You’re sure acting like it.” He said with exasperation.

It was only when she pocketed the phone that he looked angry about it. “Hey!” His hand reached towards her, but she was already leaving to take care of the car.

Owen growled in frustration at her back and balled his fists up. There wasn’t anything he could do about it. His eyes tracked between her back and the man leaking blood on the pavement. Owen checked his pulse with one hand and then counted his respirations. He lost too much blood.

There wasn’t much Owen could do for the guy considering the fed vampire had taken his phone. He trotted to catch up with her finding her in the process of compelling two frightened young girls.

“Great. Just great.” He muttered and paced back and forth near the car. Her story checked out about the man being a pedophile. But did that change his promise to kill her if he found her hurting someone else?

“We can’t just leave him there! What are you going to do with them?” His hands were on his hips and he was demanding answers from her. Apparently they were in this together. Whatever this was. Vampire vigilantism. Cool.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 05-29-2017

For the most part, Julianna was ignoring the hunter. It briefly crossed her mind that she didn’t know his name. She’d have to get that from later. Would he give it to her? She could compel it out of him. She wondered if he’d slept well the other night when she’d sent him home. Maybe she could ask him about that, too.

Focus.

“The police are going to come...” she stared down at the girls and they stared back up at her, hanging on her every word with a dazed look on their faces. They were lost to her, they would do anything she asked without question or resistance. It was easy when they were so young. Julianna smirked. It was easy when she was so well fed. She hadn’t tasted young blood in almost…

Focus.

“And you’re going to identify that man that took you, and you’re going to tell them where you live, and then you’re going to go home to your family, and sleep dreamlessly in your beds, and you’re going to forget that any of this ever happened to you.”

Julianna smiled at the girls, a terrifying countenance with the blood still smeared across her face, but they nodded their assent, eager to fulfill her demands.

Her ears finally pricked to the sound of the hunter pacing and complaining behind her. She untied the girls and helped the out of the trunk. They rubbed sore wrists and milled around the vehicle. Julianna turned to watch the hunter power pose at her. She couldn’t help but giggle, wide smile showing off fangs stained with red. He looked so cute when he was being all huffy and demanding. It kind of made her want to push him up against the wall and make some demands of her own. Julianna’s eyes were still dark as she grinned at him, riding the high of her feeding.

Focus.

The man. The hunter had something about the man. The man? Oh! The child molester. Julianna snarled, just thinking about him again. That malicious look returned to her face, protruding veins and wild eyes. She turned sharply away from the hunter and in a single step she was gone.

In less than a second she was back to the pedophile, she had his jacket in her hands and had him pinned against the wall. He was on the brink of death, head lolling against his chest, greasy dark hair falling over his eyes. “Hey,” Julianna barked, shaking him. “Look at me,” she demanded in a growl. “Look at me!”

She dropped him back to his knees and jostled him until his eyes snapped open, glassy and rolling wildly in his head.

“Death is too good for you.” Julianna pushed the words from her behind clenched teeth. She let the man dangle from one hand while she lifted her own wrist to her mouth and bit into it. Blood flowed from the wounds and she shoved her arm into the man’s mouth. He recovered quickly enough from the vampire blood, after a few moments he was eagerly pawing at her arm for more. When he pulled away he was breathing normally, her bite marks had disappeared from his neck.
When he’d recovered enough to realize his situation he screamed and tried to pull away from her. She held him easily. She slapped him in the face to silence his screaming. It was too hard probably, but she’d lost touch with controlling her strength.

“The police are going to come.” Just like the girls he was easily compelled. “You are going to wait for them. You are going to confess everything, you will not demand a trial, you will not force those girls to testify. You will go willingly and quietly to prison where you will rot for the rest of your days and you will never speak to anyone again. You will forget about this.”

When Julianna released him he stayed in place. Satisfied, she turned and walked back to where ever she had left the hunter. She still had his phone so he was probably still around. Pulling the device from her pocket she was surprised to find it unlocked. What a weird and naive thing. Without him noticing, she entered her own cell phone number into his contact lists. Her name with a smiley face emoji. She called herself so she would have his number too, and then she finally dialed 911.

She only gave the respondent their location before hanging up and pushing the phone back at him. She rubbed the sleeve of her hoodie over the blood on her mouth, scrubbing at it. “You might want to get out of here,” she suggested, before darting back inside the store to compel the store clerk as well. The disinterested twenty-something inside had barely registered the scene happening outside the store but she compelled her nonetheless.

“What are you still doing here?” She asked the blonde when she walked back outside; sirens could be heard in the distance.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 05-30-2017

In response to his demands of her, she’d turned and...giggled? Giggled at him. Seriously? He was left gazing around looking for what was so damn funny and he could only conclude it was him. She didn’t say a word just stood there showing off her fangs in an amused grin before she dashed away to do whatever it was she was going to do with the man she’d fed on to near death.

Owen was on her ride. There wasn’t anything else he could really see to do at this point but ride it out with this strange vampire he’d met. So he merely leaned up against the man’s car and waited with the girls that were essentially waiting for their time to speak with the police and then go home to never remember this again as compelled to do.

Great.

She’d returned and was using his phone to contact the authorities. “You missed a -” he was pointing at dried blood on the corner of her mouth before she dashed away into the convenience store, no doubt, to do some more damage control.

Cool.

“I’m having a great fucking time on this lovely Thursday evening is what I’m doing. You know hanging with a vigilante vampire. Super cool. Very fun.” He answered sarcastically, by then his regular human hearing could register the approaching sirens.

He shoved off the car, licked his thumb and rubbed off the spot of dried blood on the side of her mouth. “You missed a spot.” He then wiped his thumb off on his jeans and shoved his hands in his pockets. Why the fuck had he done that? Oddly...affectionate, or something.

“Well this has been so fun, thanks so much for another great and totally not fucked up evening.” He moved off to the side of her and walked backwards as he made his exit from the scene. Owen pulled a hand out of his pocket and jerked a thumb behind him. “I’m gonna go home. Don’t need to compel me this time. I got it covered, thanks.” He then shoved his hand back in his pocket and turned around and sauntered back towards the street he’d come from.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 06-01-2017

Julianna forgot everything that was happening around her when he touched her. His previous sarcasm went unregistered and for two seconds everything around her disappeared. The moment moved in slow motion. The pressure of his thumb against her skin, skewed her mouth slightly to the side. His wrist was so close. She could easily grab him and sink her teeth into the soft flesh just above his palm. She’d be willing to bet that he tasted delicious. Tender and salty skin giving way beneath the force of her fangs, sweet blood pouring outwards and coating her tongue.

“Thanks,” she mumbled. Fingers twitched at her side, and her hand nearly rose to clamp down on the wrist that was pulling away from her. She resisted. There was some small part of her trying to talk her down from her blood-fueled desires. It didn’t occur to her to question why he had done that, she was too busy liking that he did.

He was walking away from her. She didn’t want him to go. Julianna pouted, she didn’t know how he could imply that his fucked up evenings were her fault. He is the one that kept finding her and hanging out. She considered following him. And she did for a few seconds, feet pulling her in the direction he’d retreated before her brain could catch up to them.

Julianna ended up going back inside and buying her coconut water for later, instead of chasing after the grumpy hunter. She still didn’t know his name and she cursed herself for not finding out as she walked back to her apartment.

Maybe she could text him. She pulled out her phone and looked down at the mystery hunter’s number that flashed as a missed call on her screen as she sipped at her coconut water.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 06-04-2017

In the days that followed the incident with the pedophile, Owen laid low. Somehow word had gotten out among his fellow hunters that he had let a vampire get away with feeding on a man and then compelling that man along with two young girls and a store clerk. He tried, uselessly, defending his choice to let her go. He made quite a convincing argument: she was well fed, potential witnesses at the scene, a criminal act being her motive.

Why was he defending this vampire?

To make matters worse, while scrolling through his contacts he noticed an emoji next to a name. He rolled back up to the contact. Julianna? Who on earth - ? Owen didn’t use emojis. And the only time his phone had been out of his custody only once recently when -

Owen was laying on his couch with a beer can balanced perfectly on his chest when he realized whose number it was in his phone. He bolted straight up and then cursed partly because a vampire had given him her phone number and partly because his beer was overturned and leaking fizzing yellow liquid onto his carpet. Where did she get off slipping her number into his phone like some high school crush?

The week did not get easier for Owen. He was laying in bed minding his own business one evening enjoying a Netflix binge when he received a notification from Snapchat. Figuring it was his sister, Owen opened the app to find himself greeted by a new contact request from : @vampyjules. Her handle was decorated - and this was the real kicker that infuriated him - with a BAT emoji.

A series images of her making cute faces greeted him. He watched that series flash over and over. Pouting lips and nearly lidded red eyes. A kissey face. A sweet smile. He growled out loud in frustration and put his phone down for a whole five minutes. He picked it up again and watched her pictures for several more cycles. Owen then forced himself to finish his movie before he sullenly added her back.

Purely out of curiosity. Only curiosity.

He may have - out of that curiosity mentioned earlier - screenshotted a couple of the images she had posted of herself on her story.

For research! And also, he didn't know that the poster could know that he had taken a screen shot. He wasn't a particularly savvy user.

He was trying to see if he could use the backgrounds to identify her residence. Seeing as to how he was doing research on vampire friendly housing to keep track on some of his targets. He didn’t screenshot any of the pictures because she had a cute black tank top and a lace bra peeping out. Nothing like that. It wasn’t the red color of her lipstick at all.

The cherry on top of an extra shitty week was when he was nabbed by a crazy vampire. Yes he was walking to the local convenience store for some feeling-sorry-for-myself Doritos and my-life-is-shit twelve pack when the vampire snatched him from behind. One hand over his gaping mouth, the other around his middle.

A whirlwind of action barely comprehensible to a human functioning on human speed left Owen bleeding from a wound on his neck and stuffed into the trunk of a sedan. He was hardly able to think from a splitting pain in his head from where she slammed him onto the hood of the car before the feeding. There wasn’t much room for him to move around in the small enclosed space but with a bit of determination he found his phone and was able to dial Julianna’s number just as the car came to a final, ominous stop.

The phone -ringing - was stuffed back into his pocket and Owen was left hoping Julianna could hear some of their dialogue.

He was able to ascertain the name of his captor who gleefully danced around him once she had chained him to a wall like a dog.

“Eli look what Eden brought you.” She referred to herself in the third person like some lunatic. “It's that hunter I saw with little Julsey the other night. I had a little taste -”

Owen laughed miserably interrupting her. “Little! You almost tore my carotid out.” He complained his head was swimming from the blood loss. He had some hope though that Julsey was on the line and could -- do what exactly? Even if she was on the line, what were the chances she knew this wherever he had been taken too.

“He’s delicious Eliiiii.” Eden sang at the other vampire while drawing her index finger down the vampire’s chest. “And I’ll have a lil more if you don’t mind.” She rushed at Owen and took his wrist. It was poised there at her mouth, fangs at the ready, while she looked askance at the vampire named Eli for permission to continue her feeding. She was almost trembling with anticipation.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 06-04-2017

Julianna may have posted more pictures and videos to her Snapchat story than she normally would have in the days following the hunter adding her as a friend. Owen. She’d learned his name from his very boring username. Why a vampire hunter was even on social media was a mystery, but then again, she supposed the did have lives when they weren’t stalking the night looking to kill monsters.

Monsters like her.

Did he still think of her that way? He kept screenshotting images from her story. Was it because he thought she was cute? She was trying to be cute for him. It had been decades since she had interacted with anyone this way. When she sent him snaps directly, they admittedly became more risque over time. Simple and plain at first, her face or her apartment, overlaid with text. Hellos and innocent questions. He never replied. After a time she started trying to get a reaction out of him. Less of her face and more of...well. She may have dipped into her lingerie drawer. Owen would just save them. Did he know that she could see when he did that?

She wanted him to talk to her? Why wouldn’t he?

Julianna lay back in her bed, fiddling on her phone. She’d sent Owen another snap. He hadn’t opened it. She frowned at that little red arrow that had been sitting there for forty-five minutes. It had been a tasteful and sexy picture. The curve of her hip intersected with lacy red panties; the line of her legs extended towards the edge of the bed, garter straps traced down her thighs, secured to dark stockings.

She stared at her phone. She frowned at her phone. Why was he ignoring her now? Was he out patrolling the streets for big, bad vampires?

Her phone started buzzing in her hand. She sat up. He was calling her? He was calling her. The prospect excited her more than it should have. She let it vibrate in her hand for a few more seconds. To keep him waiting as it were.

“Hello?” She did her best to make her tone sound charming and alluring. She waited to hear his voice, but he didn’t reply. “Hello,” her repetition was laced with confusion this time. Still, no response. Had he managed to pocket dial her? She dropped back onto her bed again and waited. She could hear something in the background; now she was just being nosy.

Julianna could hear the sounds of a struggle, frowning, she listened harder. Voices were becoming clearer now.

Putting the phone on speaker, she changed into something more appropriate for what sounded like a rescue. Her usual. T-shirt, leggings, hoodie. She shoved her feet into tennis shoes and a name cut clear through what was mostly noise.

Eli.

Eden. She must have grabbed him. She must have known that Jules had been hanging out with him. Hanging out being a loose definition of their time together. She wasn’t as well fed as she had been the night at the gas station, but she raced across town as fast as she could to confront her brother and unruly pet.
____

Elliot sighed and looked down at Eden as she walked lazy fingers across his chest. She was trying to impress him, and he didn’t understand why she insisted on doing so. He had saved her, he had turned her, he had kept her all of these years. Her efforts were becoming more and more overblown, and quite frankly he was tried of cleaning up her messes.

He lifted his head to observe the victim she had brought into his home over her head. He was bleeding to his tile from a wound on his neck. Hanging limply from the chains Eden had decorated him in. Eden moved away from him, teasing the hunter a bit more. “Your petty jealousy for my sister is tiresome, Eden,” he complained as he walked over to join her near the hunter. He lifted the man’s wrist from her hands and let it fall back to his side. Reaching into Owen’s pocket he pulled out the cellphone, he could hear the static sound of a silent call. He took a step towards Eden, pushing her away from the hunter and holding the phone at her eye level. He continued to walk backwards, forcing Eden to move with him.

“Is this what you wanted?” he accused, indicating the name flashing on the screen, the running time of the call showing beneath. He cancelled the line and tossed the phone to the side. It clattered across the floor, disappearing under a chair. “If you want to hash out whatever your problem with my sister is, snatching her little human pet will be the perfect opportunity for you.”

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 06-11-2017

Eden made inarticulate whining noises at Elliot as he accused her of acting out from a place of jealousy. His commentary hit too close to home. She was jealous of what she saw as Eli’s fascination with seducing Julianna back to the ‘dark side’ for lack of better terms.

She kept acting out to impress Eli. She could be bad enough for the two of them. Wasn’t he pleased?

He never was.

Eden’s mouth fell open in shock when presented with the phone showing an open line to Julianna. Her emotions boiled into anger. She lashed out in blind fury at Owen screaming like a child in tantrum. “Bad!” She yelled at him slapping him with her fingers curled so that her nails clawed his cheek. Owen’s face was knocked to the side, but he bit back the cry of pain. He tried to minimize his response to the pain by looking as if it barely bothered him aside from making his face move in a direction he hadn’t intended. Eden didn’t like that, but the pretty scratches on his cheek calmed her some.

“Bad doggie.” Her tone of voice relaxed into mockery and she barked at him to top it off. “Bad bad bad.” Still close to him, she smoothed her hands over his chest. “But that’s okay. I can make you be a good boy.”

Indignation fueled enough physical strength for Owen to strike back at the vampire. He lifted his legs from the floor, holding himself up with his arms in chains and he landed a kick square to the vampire’s stomach knocking her back some. "Fuck you." He yelled at her in frustration and spit blood towards her. Spitting blood at a vampire wasn't exactly the worst thing a person could do. He meant it as an insult. As much of an insult as it could be given the circumstances.

Eden laughed when he did it. “Oooh. He’s got some bite.” She gnashed her teeth at him making awful clicking noises as she did so. “I’m keeping you. My little guard doggie. Just needs a little bit of training.”

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - megs - 06-12-2017

The room that Owen and the vampires occupied had a strange aesthetic. It had hanging chains with which Eden had used to retrain Owen, but it also had a comfortable looking couch that was loaded with decorative cushions for Elliot to lounge on looking bored. He was leaning against the arm of the couch that put his back to Eden and the hunter, he had one leg crossed over the other and was occupying himself with his own phone; as if he could not be less interested in whatever game his was playing. He did chuckle, somewhat amused as she barked at him.

His foot bobbed to some unheard cadence, his cheek resting against his closed fist, propped up on the back of the couch. Eden and Owen were having a bit of a row, the concerted attack on his partner didn’t seem to concern the vampire. She could take care of herself as far as he was concerned.

Somewhere near the front of the house a door slammed, Elliot didn’t look up from his phone, but his foot stopped its rhythmic twitching. His gaze drifted upwards just in time to witness Julianna pushed open the door. It snapped open hard enough to bounce against the wall; but she didn’t remain in the doorway long enough for it to return and hit her.

Rushing forward, she was suddenly near enough to Eden to grab the other woman by the arm and wrenched her away from Owen. Had she been fed, and stronger she could have easily hurled the woman across the room, but she wasn’t, so she was only propelled far enough to put some distance between Owen and the wild vampire. Julianna stood in front of him protectively. “What do you think you’re doing?” A question forced from between clenched teeth, her expression resembled a snarl, sharp teeth on display as crimson eyes skirted between Eden and Elliot.

RE: Hunt/ed [Closed] - saronym - 06-12-2017

If she were the soul-searching type Eden would have admitted later that that first door slam put a little fear into her heart. The second closer one - the one that bounced against the wall - she barely had time to register before the other vampire was jerking her away from her new pet.

Eden was moved easily enough despite Julianna’s not as well fed state. Being the much, much younger vampire, Eden had very little hope in facing of with Julianna in a direct fight. But that didn’t necessarily stop the howl of outrage that erupted from Eden when she was pulled away from her prey.

She caught her footing and stood her ground before Julianna with hands on her hips and snarled. Owen’s blood was dried in a sanguine river that had run down her chin and neck. Gorged veins around her eyes pulsed when she hissed at Julianna like an animal showing off her deadly fangs.

“I’m playing with my pet!” Her voice was shrill and harsh.

From behind Julianna Owen countered back lamely. “I’m not your fucking pet!” He was doing his best not to look relieved to see the small vampire he had been admiring on snapchat.

“And you’re ruining it!” She accused Julianna as she attempted a quick dash towards Owen. She managed to skirt, just barely, around Julianna to get to the hunter. One hand grabbed his face, “what do you care what I do with this vampire hunter?” She emphasized his unsavory title as if to suggest that it was Julianna who was at fault for trying to protect him in the first place.

“He’s delicious, by the way.” She said this matter of factly before she stuck her tongue out and leaned towards him, holding his head to the side as if to lick at the wounds she’d made on his neck.

“Why thank you.” Owen’s sarcastic remark came out strained as he attempted to struggle away from the vampire who seemed keen on draining him. Owen kicked at her in the same fashion as before, but Eden wasn’t as moveable.

Julianna returned Eden’s primal snarl. All fangs and anger, the sight of Owen’s blood on the other vampire pushing her into a rage. The room was filled with the scent of him; she’d not overcome her desire to taste him, but she had more control than to cave to it in that moment. Rescuing him from Eden was the most important task. Julianna’s face hadn’t shifted into that terrifying vampire countenance, but her fiery glare was just as pointed.

She rounded on Eden when she skirted past her to get to Owen. “Get away from him,” she demanded. The trio of them were huddled close together where Owen was chained. Watching Eden drag her tongue across Owen’s bloodied skin finally caused Jules’ face to shift; dark eyes, protruding veins. She was furious. “Don’t touch him!” She backed up her words, by grabbing Eden again and physically removing her from Owen’s person.

The tiny vampire backed up until her back was pressed against Owen. Her hands were held out slightly to the side, warding off another approach from Eden. Elliot still lounged on the couch as the women dished it out with each other. She found Owen’s witty remarks to be reassuring; enough strength left in him to bite back, in a manner of speaking.

Julianna had to think of something. She had no excuse to protect Owen, a vampire hunter, from Eden’s grasp, than her own burgeoning affection. An unhealthy attachment to a human set on eradicating them. Julianna knew that the room would not enjoy what she was about to say next. Her eyes made subtle tracks between Eden and Elliot still on the couch, mostly turned away from them.

Squaring her shoulders, Julianna lifted her chin and looked down her nose at Eden. “He’s mine.” The words rang clear, and seemed to echo in the space of the room. “I have claimed him.”

Elliot leaned forward on the couch and turned at the waste to stare wide-eyed at his sister. "What?"

"He's mine," she repeated. "Let him go."
