RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 04-16-2017

Kari wasn't going to be on Osiris for long. He'd come here for a job, and that job had been completed three days prior. Now he was just waiting for the authorities to rule the official cause of death “accident,” and he could pick up his extra money and head... ...somewhere.

He'd been witness to the terrible accident, but only one of several traumatized young people who'd seen the cyborg fall to his rather violent, grisly death. They were all in shock, seeing a man--for a loose definition of the word--be impaled like that. Falling onto a statue’s pike! Horrifying. He would have survived the fall easily if not for the force of gravity impaling him through the stomach so forcefully that his metal scraping against the plasteel pike had made sparks rain down on the horrified observers. Brutal. Sickening to behold.

So tragic that his jets had failed...

Of course, the girl he'd raped and her extremely vengeful father were less upset, but that could be understood, under the circumstances.

It was a big job for a small price, but it had been satisfying. He didn't normally take jobs that were essentially just assassination, not really. He still tried to play it a bit safer than that. But the line between mercenary and assassin was already extremely thin, and this had been a good cause. And it had given him an excuse to see Osiris! He'd been enjoying himself these last three days, but not as much as he would have liked, having to play the role of traumatized tourist. So he'd taken a risk, as he was wont to do, and asked around a bit for a place to drink where the authorities never came. A few names had been floated. One of which had been Farendajo.

He was there now, idly sipping a fruity sort of bright pink cocktail that had been served to him by a pretty little number with purple fur and stripes. He enjoyed things that were pink... like, for instance, his dress. That was the risky part of this little venture, but all those trousers and masculine shirts had been making him want to tear his own skin off.

Even just sitting alone at the bar, nursing a pink drink in a pink dress while wearing pink heels... he felt healed. Like he'd shed an uncomfortable burden.

He'd really dressed up, too, sweet and dollfaced in enough makeup to look like barely any at all, lips a delicate, glistening pink that he might use to convince a lucky patron for a coat closet tryst, if anyone caught his eye. He'd pulled his long, blonde hair back in ponytails, and given them a wide, looping curl for bounce. Painted nails clinked idly against his glass as his eyes scanned the bar.

It was a shockingly nice place, given that he'd come here only because he'd been told officers of the law did not. For once, his beauty wasn't wasted on his surroundings. That being said, there weren't a great deal of people, and none of them were alone. Made it hard to spot someone for a good time, and the bartender, while simply adorable, was very much not his type. She seemed as simple minded as it was possible to be before hitting vegetable. Cute, yes, but hardly attractive.

He did sort of idly want to pet her, though.

Instead, he took another long sip of his drink and sighed. It would be nice just to have a night off, even if his vices were limited. At least he knew he was damn cute, even if he lacked for anyone else telling him so, preferably in a breathy sort of voice with their fingers clenched into his hair.

One bad decision at a time. Putting on a pretty pink mini dress and fuck me heels was all the bad decision he really needed for one night. The rest could wait for another spaceport, one where he wasn't a primary witness in an accidental death. For now, he would sit and drink and be satisfied in his own appearance.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 04-20-2017

Grilka had no plans for the next shift or so, and so eir plans were what they almost always were: find entertainment.

Farendajo was the easiest place – there was always Xotll, and she was always happy for the littlest scraps of attention. Even if she pretended to be put out when ey started pulling her clothes off in the middle of the bar. So many fun noises, though.

More often than not, checking in at Farendajo revealed lingering hopefuls, wanting something but unsure how to go about asking. Some of them were clever enough to ask Xotll about em, so she could send em a message, but yet others were so useless they could do nothing but sit around with a vague notion that something might happen to them.

And something did, when ey noticed them. Those ones could be the most fun, really, turning all kinds of mortified colors. Shy things all beside themselves with needs they were terrible at expressing.

Anyway. There'd be something to amuse em, regardless of the details.

Ey came in through the back, rose up to wrap around the ductwork along the ceiling. Ey moved along it, scanning the bar from above. Few people ever thought to look up. It could be a fun way to investigate what all was going on.

    Boring, boring, boring.

Ey paused above the bar, looking down at it. Someone alone – they didn't look shy, not dressed like that. They almost looked like they'd dressed to please em, but those kind usually knew to make appointments. How suspicious. How interesting.

Slowly eir tail moved closer on the ductwork, giving em enough slack to move downward behind them, darting tongues to taste the air. The slender chains around eir horns, eir limbs, eir chest, were all so delicate as to make no noise at all.

That did not smell like most human girls.

Eir tail gave up more slack, enough that ey could bend eir torso into an upright position, sliding up sideways to lean on the bar with one elbow. Ey tapped the bar for Xotll to bring em a drink, and darted tongues at the stranger again, this time coming much closer to licking their shoulder.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 04-20-2017

Kari sort of sighed again as he took another drink, a sound caught between moods. Not quite content, though it wanted to be. Too much else he wanted and wouldn't let himself have. He took another drink, longer this time, distracting himself with sweet tastes and the subtle burn of alcohol behind it. The bartender was surprisingly good at mixing drinks with those hands that looked like they should have been so clumsy.

He paused as he took his glass away from his mouth, a faint pink ring of lipstick marking the rim. Something was prickling at the back of his neck, an alcohol-dulled sense picking up on... something. He stilled momentarily, slowly setting his drink down on the bar, and listened.

He didn't have to listen for long.

Something large slid into view directly to his right, all scales and limbs. He jolted, shocked that something so significant could have snuck up behind him without him noticing. He hadn't had that many drinks.

Then, a split second later, his eyes registered the long tail trailing from above. This time, when he jumped, it was to recoil, damn near falling off the bar stool in horrified shock. He managed to sort of jump-stand off it instead, catching it with a hand when it clattered, threatening to fall over.

He didn't feel much better with a bar stool between him and the alien, though it was a bit easier to take in what he was seeing from a distance of a few feet. Sapphire scales that faded to pale pink in some places, a reptilian build. Tall, even before accounting for the tail. Horns, four arms with sharp fingers... talons. No clothes, no secondary sex characteristics he could identify, just thin chains and jewelry. Snake's eyes a solid magenta.

Pretty, if ey wasn't so busy being seriously scary looking.

And then there was the tail.

Kari's eyes followed it up, widening as his chin tilted back. It went all the way to the roof, which was... considerably high. There it wound around the pipes in the ceiling, and disappeared. He could not see the end. His eyes dropped back to the thing's face.

It was probably rude to jump out of chairs at people. But to be fair, ey had been very up in his personal space. And was terrifying.

He reached out for his drink, still standing, and knocked the rest of it back, deciding he was still too sober to deal with this properly. The thing was still just as large and just as close when he set the now-empty glass back on the bar.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 05-07-2017

Ey grinned like a particularly gleeful anglerfish, wide and sharp and pearly white, eir rattle more of a chuckle than a laugh. Such surprise! They hadn't been expecting em, then. If they had, they'd been terribly ill-informed. Was it possible they'd wandered in unawares? That almost never happened. Ill-informed was more likely, new in town and with the vague understanding that this was a place where favors could be exchanged.

Still. Not a sure thing. Not sure at all when Xotll had said nothing about anyone trying to meet em. Better to lay more careful snares than overplay their hand.

Especially with one like this. Rare to get a human with this sort of smell to them, looking so pretty.

As their gaze moved up eir tail, tendrils moved along the length of it, flaring outward just a bit in a rippling motion. There was a resemblance to a more reasonably-sized snake swallowing something too large in time-lapse footage. The gesture was braggadocious, and undeservedly so, not that anyone on Osiris would know it.

Ey did so love to feel impressive.

Xotll brought a little glass of black Krotazi wine, and Grilka accepted it with one right hand while patting her on the head with the other. "Thank you, Xotll."

"Will that be all?" she asked hopefully.

    "Yes, dear."

Xotll looked disappointed, and pouted visibly as she retreated. Grilka blinked in conjunction with eir nictating membrane, aware that humans found the effect of blinking twice with different eyelids unsettling. Tongues darted at the air between them again.

    "Hello," ey greeted.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 05-07-2017

A primal chill ran down his spine at the sight of all those teeth. It was a common reaction to aliens that looked--and probably were--particularly predatory. Some things were hardwired into the human psyche, and he was, at his core, a very rich, sheltered young boy who'd thrown himself into questionable modeling and then mercenary work... relatively recently, in the grand scheme of things. He was good at it, of course, but... Still. There were some things in the universe that made him wish he still employed bodyguards, instead of working as one.

This sensation was not improved in the least by the thing it did with its tail, almost flaring and just showing off how large and terrible and big enough to digest the average human it looked.

Was this a prank people played on tourists? Sending them to the bar frequented by the giant terrifying snake-alien? Because Kari wasn't laughing, but it also sounded exactly like something he would do. It clearly knew the the adorable little bartender. It was a regular. Hell, maybe it was the manager. Wouldn't that be a holy terror. Space: where predators from your nightmares come to manage bars.

Oh. He was being addressed. He'd sort of lost his window for politely scrambling, or even not-politely scrambling, huh. He'd been too busy staring. It was probably rude to stare. He was still staring. "Hi," he replied, sounding mildly dazed. He should say something less insipid, something polite to make up for the way he was staring like he'd never seen a infinitely long snake-person dangling from a bar ceiling before. He hadn't, but. Still. "Do you... come here often?"

...Something that didn't make it sound like he was using a shitty pick-up line on a snake ten times his size.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 05-09-2017

Eir grin had not faded. The poor little thing looked shell-shocked. Grilka downed the glass of wine, turned the little cone upside-down and set it on the counter. "I do," ey said cheerfully. "Which is how I know that you do not." More of eir tail moved downward to rest on the floor behind em, eir torso remaining always in the same place even while the rest of em rearranged itself.

"Are you waiting to meet someone?" ey asked, probing. "I'd hate to interrupt." Eir tongues moved in different directions as ey licked eir teeth, drumming talons on the table and tracing the curl of one horn. Ey leaned back once eir tail was entirely on the floor, making emself more comfortable, a slight arch to eir spine as ey rolled eir highest shoulders back in a semi-stretch.

Ey cocked eir head to the side. "What sort of human are you?" ey asked, one sharp talon drawing a little circle in the air that clearly encompassed their hip region. Then, in case that wasn't clear enough: "Do you have a dick?"

Ey darted tongues to taste the air again.

It certainly smelled like they did.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 05-09-2017

Ah... so this was a bar regularly frequented by an infinitely huge clearly-predatory snake-alien. That, he noted, literally no on else in the bar looked surprised to see, though most were watching in an idle sort of way. Sort of like they expected a show, or perhaps the eye was just naturally drawn to the huge fucking snake tail making its way down from the ceiling. It just kept coming! He forced his eye to tear away from it and look at the person who was actually speaking to him, well aware he was being rude by any race's standards.

It wasn't as though ey was being aggressive. And this was a public bar in the middle of Osiris. He'd been punked, clearly, and he didn't know to what extent yet, but ey was just talking. He didn't have to end his night early and scurry off like the terrified human he technically was, just because a giant snake had metaphorically and literally been dropped on him.

So while he briefly considered lying, ultimately, he went against it. Besides, waiting for someone just meant he'd be obliged to stay here longer rather than 'stand them up.'

"No," he replied, sitting down on a bar stool--though not the one he'd just vacated, directly next to em. "As you might have guessed, I'm just a tourist; I've only been on Osiris for a week. I just came in to drink; I liked the ambiance." The pre-snake ambiance anyway. He leaned onto the bar, crossing one knee over the other, considering. He had no idea what this alien was, but he hadn't been a space-farer for that long, and hadn't exactly had a formal education focused on alien races before that. He knew the basics, and what he'd picked up from years of service. None of that included more snake than one body really needed, let alone four arms.

He stiffened at the rather forward question, though, frowning. Was it obvious? Normally people never guessed, especially not when he was dolled up like this. A pretty face and long blonde hair had people wondering more when he wore trousers than when he wore dresses, which were considered a more hefty indicator of supposed gender. ...Oh, but not to aliens, maybe, if they weren't too familiar with humans. But how could ey not be? This was a very human colony.

"Normally, people at least buy me a few drinks before asking me that," he replied, archly but with enough of a smile to not be rude. Not that he really necessarily wanted to drink with the giant naga-thing. But he was a little curious, and maybe if ey was going to be asking rude questions about his genitals, he could get away with some rude anatomy questions of his own. He'd shared drinks with weirder aliens. Though perhaps not more dangerous ones, just by the looks of em.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 11-26-2018

Grilka looked, a little pointedly, at the vacated seat beside em that they'd chosen not to use. Ey clicked eir tongue, but said nothing on the matter – only giving off a petulant air of quietly hurt feelings.

Not that it mattered at all. Eir tail was more than long enough to slowly wind its way around the room. Alone, they said. A trap, perhaps, but ey was very good at stealing the bait.

Ey cocked eir head to the side, darted tongues at them. Clearly offended – usually that meant female. Those ones could be touchy about that sort of thing. "Was I not supposed to ask?" ey wondered, all wide-eyed innocence. Or as innocent as ey could ever look, as if the question's rudeness had not even occurred to em. "It's only that the human men with dicks are so fragile," ey said, opening a compartment on one of eir bracelets to retrieve a memti cigarette, sighing all put-upon. "Asking seemed safer, but some of you have the strangest rules about that kind of thing."

How could ey ever be expected to keep up with such unreasonably variable social niceties?

Ey lit eir cigarette, taking a long drag and exhaling thick purple smoke overhead. "Xotll, dear," ey said sideways, and she turned her head to look at em, ears perking up. "Will this one's drinks be on the house tonight?"

Xotll hesitated. She looked between the two of them, one to the other and back again until Grilka gave a tiny nod. "Yes," she said immediately. "That is the decision that I have made, personally."

"How unfortunate," Grilka sighed, though as ey said it ey had to wave vaguely at Xotll so she didn't get confused and think she'd made a mistake. "You have all the drinks you could ever want. What could I possibly have to offer?"

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 11-26-2018

The alien--whatever it was, he desperately wanted a name to put to the species but would probably have to work around to that--seemed a bit put out that he'd picked a stool one over. Kari was of the vague opinion that ey should have been glad he hadn't run, but whatever. People here were obviously more used to em than he was.

He burst out laughing at eir confused petulance at his offense about the dick-question. Not loudly, and not rudely, but with genuine amusement. He couldn't help it, ey just seemed so put-out. "Well, I can't say you're wrong," he said, grinning for the first time that evening. "We really are. Although I gather men with dicks in dresses are slightly less sensitive, just from personal experience." Women with dicks in dresses, that was an entirely different story, one that Kari occasionally brushed up against but ultimately didn't follow. "Unless you're speaking physically, which is also true, but can be neatly sidestepped by avoiding the area altogether," he added with a snort.

The interaction between the adorable barkeep and the giant-snake-of-scary was interesting, however. If ey owned the place, why bother with the subterfuge? Same as if ey worked there, which he had trouble imagining. Even as a bouncer, it would be utterly excessive. Plus, ey hardly gave off the 'blue collar worker' vibe. The bartender was anything but subtle about their respective positions, but that was probably due to a general lack of talent for subterfuge, based purely on the thirty-odd minutes he'd known her for.

Kari's eyes flicked back and forth between the two twice before he smiled. "A Pink Lady, please, if you know it," he asked Xotll, then turned his focus back to the much larger alien. He wasn't really comfortable looking away for extended periods of time, but he didn't particularly want to admit that.

"Well, when one has an excess of free alcohol, all one lacks for is company," Kari suggested. "After all, drinking alone is depressing. Since we've both been lucky enough to be blessed with free drinks by this lovely and generous woman," This was presumption on his part when it came to the cost of eir drinks, but he had a feeling. "Why not enjoy them together? Besides," he added. "If I get too drunk on my own, someone might get it in their mind to take advantage."

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 02-09-2019

Grilka rolled eir tongues thoughtfully, a peculiar noise accompanying it. "I think that avoiding the area is what they would usually prefer," ey said, "but where's the fun in that?" Ey tapped the counter so that Xotll would pour em another glass of Krotazi wine, and sighed smoke. "The most peculiar creatures."

Xotll immediately started a harried search of the area behind the bar. While grenadine and various liquors were easy enough to find, there was the matter of the egg. She'd trotted in a full circle before finding one in the fridge. She did a terrible job of cracking the first, and the second, but managed on the third to salvage the egg white into the shaker. She then had to wash her hands before she could actually begin to shake the cocktail in question.

"How lucky," Grilka said, "to have good and generous friends, and to be so very pretty." Ey drank down their wine in one shot again, long since refilled. Ey traced talons along the curve of one horn.

Xotll was still shaking the cocktail.

"By 'taken advantage of'," Grilka wondered, "do you mean tricked into entering an unwise financial contract, or fucked?" Eir tongues darted in his direction. "Idioms can be terribly confusing, and I would like to be clear on what you are trying to avoid."

Xotll finally poured the finished drink into a glass, garnished it with a cherry, and slid it across the counter.

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 02-09-2019

Kari blinked in a bit of obvious surprise at the implication that a giant, and he meant giant snake alien was going around touching human's dicks. Or maybe ey meant the dicks of eir own species, whatever it was? Did they have dicks? Would it be rude to ask, in this most dick-centric of conversations he found himself in?

"Have you run into a great number of men who wouldn't allow their dicks to be touched?" he asked instead, managing his own expression of innocent curiosity. "I've very rarely had that problem myself. Of course..." He tapped the bar near one of Grilka's many hands as ey set eir once-again-empty glass down. Not quite touching eir hand, but coming close. "It might be the lack of talons that makes it so easy for me."

He noticed, at this juncture, the difficulty the bartender was having with his drink. Right. Eggs. He hadn't even thought about the difficulty that might pose. Feeling a bit guilty, he resolved to just switch to tequila shots for the rest of the night, or something.

Pretty, was he now? Well, that was true, but aliens normally had very weird metrics for that. Would it be arrogant to ask? Before he had a chance to really consider it, he was blown clear out of his stride by the word "fucked" coming out of the mouth of a sixty foot snake who professed not to be able to tell the difference between human men and human women sometimes.

Briefly befuddled yet again, it took him a moment to regain his balance and figure out an answer to the question. Fortunately, Xotll provided a perfect distraction in the form of his drink arriving.

"Thank you, it looks absolutely delicious," he said, hoping he wasn't laying it on too thick. He'd have to nurse this one to give her a break, even if he suddenly felt kind of like slamming it back again. He turned his eyes back to Giant Snake Alien of Indeterminate Gender. "Were you planning either?" he asked finally. "Or are those just the two most frequent forms of advantage taken in this particular bar."

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 02-25-2019

"Human men don't usually like to play," ey sighed, which was and was not an answer. Ey considered the small size of his hand next to eir talons. Human hands did not often come near eirs, except perhaps to shake on a contract, and even then it was typically avoided. Eir talons were sharp, after all, and venomous. Nimble little human hands were horribly soft and prone to shaking. Interpersonal touching was done more with tendrils than hands.

Probable that he didn't know well enough to be cautious. Still, there was something a little bit cute about it.

"Hmm." Without warning, ey hooked a talon underneath his palm, sideways enough not to press the 'blade' of it directly against his skin. Ey lifted it higher as if to get a better look, tongues darting, turning eir fingers just-so such that his hand would splay out on the back of eirs. Ey used another hand to tap the tips of one talon against each of his nails in turn, one-two-three-four. "Maybe not as popular with girls," ey mused.

Ey took another drag, exhaled smoke overhead before settling further down with a slow circling undulation of what were not eir hips. Still not low enough to be eye level, but onto a scale more typically humanoid. "Are there other kinds of advantage that can be taken?" ey asked, intrigued. A free hand idly touched one of his curls in a gesture that could be interpreted as curious. "But Krotazi can enter no contracts with Allied citizens, so I can make no such plans." Ey grinned. "And if I fucked you, you'd die. Which would be a terrible waste, I think."

RE: Night Out [Closed] - SolitareLee - 02-25-2019

Human men don't like to what now. "Have you been TRYING?" Kari asked, slightly amazed at the concept. Sexual compatibility seemed deeply unlikely between an infinitely long snake monster and the average human male. Not that that had been known to stop the average human male. "I have a lot of questions about this."

Fortunately, or unfortunately, he was almost immediately distracted from asking them by his hand getting picked up by the side of a talon. He didn't particularly mind, as long as ey didn't stab him, but it did capture his focus, as one's hands being around sharp objects tends to do. Kari was a bit charmed despite his better judgment by the sight of his hand against the alien's. The size difference was so great as to be almost comical, but there was still something nice about the contact.

"My pointy ends come off," he said with a laugh, lifting one fingernail to clink it ever so gently against the tip of the talon that had tapped against it. "They're press-on," he explained. "And I'll have you know women love me." He paused. "...A certain kind of woman, anyway," he mused.

He watched as the alien took another drag off eir unusual cigarette before settling in a bit lower in an... interesting motion. Ey was still a lot taller, but it had the effect of making the two of them look like they were casually chatting, or perhaps about to share in the latest gossip.

He briefly considered the situation of his hand on the alien's. It would probably be weird to keep it there. He didn't particularly feel like moving it away. He sidestepped this issue by exploring the hand a bit more. The talons were to be avoided; they looked sharp and he didn't want an unfortunate injury or a weird alien bacterial infection. Instead, he traced patterns along the back of eir hand, curious about the smoothness of the scales there. So fine on such a large creature, not at all like eir tail, which seemed to be made up of much larger scales, from what he could tell.

"Oh, well, sure," Kari replied with a nod, since the question seemed genuine. "You can take advantage of people in a million ways for a million reasons." Although he probably shouldn't be giving a terrifying and deadly predator lessons in that. "I'd offer to show you," he said instead, with a teasing grin. "But I try not to take any kind of advantage of people who could probably kill me on accident, let alone on purpose."

He nodded along to what ey was saying. He was opening his mouth to say something banal like "oh, of course," to what felt like a commonly known fact when his distracted and slightly alcohol-addled brain caught up to him. "Wait, KROTAZI?!" His shock probably explained a great deal about the situation to the alien and anyone eavesdropping. "You're a... holy shit!" He sounded equal parts alarmed and delighted, which was probably not the standard reaction at all.

"My dad did all kinds of dealings with the Krotazi Empire, but he never did tell me much." Kari did vaguely remember some curses being thrown around behind closed doors about 'those fucking snakes,' but that could be a descriptor for a great many things that weren't this. This cleared up some things and not others. All the facts Kari could remember from his half-assed childhood studies were economic in nature. The Krotazi Empire had felt more like a law of physics than anything. He couldn't help but think now that his tutors would have been better serving his interests if they'd mentioned more about Krotazi biology and less about their economic impact on Allied Space.

His brain continued to play catch up, eventually landing on the whole "fucked to death" part that came directly after "Krotazi." "Wait," he said, glancing down. The Krotazi's hips were almost at the floor in order to place em close to Kari's level, so that didn't actually accomplish much. "Are you actually hiding a dick somewhere? It seems rude to ask, but you did ask about mine first." And it did seem to be a matter of survival now. "Or is this some kind of terrifying oviposition situation and not just that you have a dick the size of my entire body. ...Or both," he added with a grimace as he considered the size a Krotazi egg might be. He opened his mouth again, then let out a little amused but frustrated huff.

"Sorry, literally everything you're saying is just giving me more questions." He leaned his elbow against the bar more, shifting his weight, and tapped idle fingertips against the back of the Krotazi's hand the way one might idly drum on a desk. "You just don't expect to run into an economic superpower who's also huge and alien and talking gamely about human dicks, while you're just out grabbing a drink on vacation. Two of those things intersecting would be enough to fill a few hours of conversation."

RE: Night Out [Closed] - Tindome - 10-18-2019

Ey cackled, rattling in eir throat. "Humans can be fun," ey explained, with a brief flutter of thick false lashes. "Some are skittish—but I don't mind those. It's the… ah. The angry ones. Big guns, baggy pants. Terrible." Ey sighed.

"Oh!" Grilka perked up a bit with interest, head cocked to the side. "Very clever," ey said, "if you need to be more useful than pretty." Ey must have encountered such things before, but it was likely that at the time ey'd simply assumed ey'd torn their nail off and thought no more about it. It made sense, anyway, in the same vein as the lashes ey sometimes wore to amuse emself. Little glued-on bits of expectations.

His wandering fingers were an amusing novelty; it was rare for anyone but Xotll to touch em so gently. More often little aliens like this would avoid touching em entirely, or else end up grabbing at em in a panic. Ey restrained a purr.

Ey did not often restrain emself, but visibly enjoying such a chaste touch felt unseemly. Ey had a reputation to maintain.

Grilka rattled another laugh at the man's obvious shock, grinning a wide anglerfish grin. "Yes," ey said, "I am very impressive." Ey preened a bit, taking a drag of eir cigarette and tilting eir head back to exhale smoke upward through eir teeth.

Ey hummed, in a rolling sort of way. So direct! "Two," ey corrected, holding up two sharp fingers on a hand not currently occupied. "All Krotazi have two." Ey grinned again, too many too-sharp teeth. "No Krotazi have… hm." Ey took eir two free hands, and made a crude gesture poking between the loop of two fingers. "Cunts," ey decided. "We make our own. Very messy. It kills Krotazi also, but humans would die faster." Ey sighed smoke. "So we can only play," ey said. "Harmless fun."

Ey reached out to idly toy with some of his hair with the tips of eir talons. "Many questions," ey agreed. "You like to talk for so long?" ey wondered. The far end of eir tail had been creeping closer, the wide sweep of it that would eventually bring it to a patient circle.
