RE: The Deltin Royale Casino - Ghostly - 10-07-2016

Lilly trusted no one, certainly not the individuals above her tugging at her puppet strings, and not those beneath her in the missions she was assigned, as callous as that sounded. However, there was a sort of comfort in the company of another Simba, not that she would ever admit it. The man across from her had not a care in the world and the confidence to match. Lilly mused to herself with a raised brow on how many women were beyond stirred by this fellow and his simple displays. Perhaps that alone earned him a drink from the woman.

Glass still in hand, Lilly's free digits dug through the pockets of her dark slacks to retrieve a money clip containing a small collection of folded bills. "Looks like I have to pay for my drink in the end, and you get yours as well." Freeing a singular twenty with nimble fingers, Lilly laid the bill on the countertop before pocketing the cash and after Bowie ordered his poison she'd greet him in kind. Even if he was a bum in her eyes, he deserved that much at least. "Lilly Vander. I can't say it's a pleasure to meet you yet, but it is nice to see another of my kind; one who has his own pack no less!" The brief laugh that came from Lilly would seem surprisingly vicious, but with the words that were to follow, it would be obvious as to why. "Women wearing the pants in the pride? What a startling revelation!" Mockingly, she raised a hand to her heated cheeks before swiveling in her chair so that her back was to the bar.

His words hit a little too close to home, or maybe her concoction of pills was not lasting nearly as long as she had hoped. Either way, Lilly began acting a touch more subdued. "I think you are safe on all accounts," mumbled the huntress as she paused to reach into her jacket. Like Bowie, a crumpled pack of smokes was retrieved to go with the matches her partner requested earlier. Cigarette between her lips and match struck, she let out a smokey sigh before continuing. "I've never been much one for petty theft, and I highly doubt there's going to be someone brave enough to stand up and claim me." Unlike Bowie, Lilly had no thick and heavy accent. She had grown up in France but had run away the first chance she had. Only the slightest hints of her upbringing remained, the vowels shortened and a little trill to her r's.

That was plenty of self-pity for one evening, Lilly felt. Instead, she'd turn the conversation on Bowie to learn more about him while avoiding questions aimed at herself. "If your allowance barely got you here, what business do you have at a casino? There has to be a better use of your time than begging for handouts from strangers." Glancing sideways towards the man with many wives, Lilly gave him a more scrutinizing look this time around with those emerald hues, possibly in an attempt to see something beyond what she assumed at first.
