Daisy was adopted by Cain, shortly after he and Akiko moved to Boston. The dog had been hit by a car and suffered several injuries. Extensive surgeries and physical therapy later, the dog was abandoned at the animal hospital by an owner that was unwilling to pay for its treatment. Having fallen for the dog during her long stay at the hospital, Cain decided to adopt her.

Age: 5 years

Oreo was found malnourished and covered in ticks on the side of the interstate and brought to the hospital as a stray. It took three hours just to remove the parasites from his body. Oreo is blind in one eye and lost part of his tail. An older dog with a fear of people is not generally a good candidate for adoption, but Cain wasn’t willing to give up on him. Cain worked with the dog to distract him from Akiko and eventually the dog warmed up to him. Oreo was good with animals, so Cain decided to take him home.

Jingles was found as an abandoned puppy by Julianna when she was still pregnant with Cain. She was the only survivor of a litter that had been birthed near their home in Colorado. Despite vehement protestations from Owen, Jules decided to keep the dog and care for it. It wasn't so much that the puppy began to grown on Owen as it was him letting Julianna have her way. Cain and Jingles grew up together for the most part, and they were very attached to each other. Jingles passed away from old age, two months after Owen's murder. Her death was very hard on Cain.
