The Vereaux, pride be in house and clan, started many small business ventures in their years within the fleshlands. One of which happened to become quite popular, and over the time in which their estates claimed ownership, it blossomed from a side project into something prominent. The Sleeping Hunter was a fusion tea garden, blending both English and Greek themes to offer a relaxing getaway from Valesport proper without customers needing to leave the city limits. Located in the uptown district of Brighton, the property is built into the city's park, and encompasses a sizable fifteen acres of property nestled in the neighboring woods. The gardens are run by a retainer staff, though legally owned by Ki Vereaux, who is often seen drifting through the halls at strange hours.

The actual tea room is simple, open to sunlight and the outside flora, reflecting the calm of the location. One would be hard pressed to find anywhere so detached from the metropolis as the tea room, though it still seemed to retain a lived in and used quality. Clean and quiet, a list of the available tea choices is located on the far wall behind a cedar counter, as well as a selection of pastries, soups and finger sandwiches.

Outside, one would be free to enjoy their tea in the open of the outdoors, and during the summer, mandolin players sit and strum to the glow of evening fireflies. Vacationing visitors are permitted to roam the grounds as they wish, which eventually feed into the Bramblewood park, though the path is often claimed by young lovers and adventurous youths, who steal away to express their affections under the veil of night. Honeymooners and older couples are frequently the guests, though there are countless reasons why a single individual might seek the refuge of the retreat.

Rooms available to guests are located upstairs and are what the Vereaux would consider 'rustic'. They offer the usual amenities, as well as added comforts such as room service and daily refreshing. The staff on call is quiet, noninvasive, and keen to please, giving The Sleeping Huntsman pristine reviews from several well known publications.

o1. This is a True Fae base of operations within Valesport, including (but not limited to) the Vereaux clan. It is considered a neutral zone for the six council clans (Vereaux, Morandori, Englos, Quies, Valencoste, and Arden).
o2. Anyone within reason is welcome, though the Fae are a tricky sort, and work in contracts.
o3. The Brighton district is often called 'Little Arcadia' by other meta syndicates. This is an insult to true Fae.
o4. The Fae do not take slights lightly and are quick to react to what they consider a threat.
o5. Humans visiting the tea gardens see Fae and the grounds under glamour; other meta types will see similar, minus slight variations. Other Fae are not fooled by glamour and see true forms.
o6. Fae seal contracts with intercourse. Promises made in the throes of passion are the most trustworthy to Fae.

Ki's lovers were many. They came from far reaches to spend evenings by her side, crossing oceans and mountains and great tracts of land to bask in her presence. Some said she was insatiable, that her appetites were all consuming, but they were wrong. At times, she could be picky with her partners. Affection was offered to those willing, eager, able, and above all things, honest. Lies were the bane of the Fae, and though they crafted theirs in ways they could not be faulted for, they often looked down upon those who were not genuine. Ki looked for no commitment outside of the initial trysts, but those who continued to return were held in high regard. Their company was always appreciate, embraced in her tender arms and deep affections so that they would leave knowing she thought of them in their absence. Such was the Vereaux way. Pacts and contracts were made with the intention their obligations be fulfilled, and not once had the creature backed out of a deal. She was far too proud to do such a thing.

When her newest lover left, she kissed her gently and caressed her cheeks with both hands. It was a loving acknowledgement, but it faded as the other woman had been removed from her sights. Ki would shower and dress accordingly, though her wardrobe was far more lavish than it needed to be with Chiffon and Noil silks that hugged her curves. The dress she chose was decadent with a fur trim skinned off a beast she knew nor cared nothing of, dyed a Persian blue to match her luminous hues. Heels met hardwood as she combed the halls, steps leading through the quiet of the property until she had settled at a seat within the tea room. Her usual Darjeeling was poured in a cup inlaid with gold, the trim shaped to be small Swallows flying along the rim.

A brow rose at the delivery. "<font color="498fdf]Did we receive new china?"

The servant stopped and stared at the vessel, eyes narrowing before offering an answer. "I believe so, Madame."

"<font color="498fdf]Order more. I'm not fond of this pattern." Though not visible, her own wings were similar colors to those of the bird in question. "<font color="498fdf]I would rather something with petals. Maybe leaves? Vines?"

"Understood, Madame. I will send out an order immediately."

"<font color="498fdf]Wonderful." Ki's lips curled into a pleasant smile. "<font color="498fdf]Also, find my phone. I seemed to have lost it somewhere in my room."

"At once, Madame."

Through pursed lips came an audible hitch in an otherwise quiet part of midtown. Fresh off of his latest modeling gig Adon was quick to fetch a cigarette out from the deep pockets of his dark peacoat. Embers burning at the tip he meandered on his way from the nondescript warehouse where he had done his recent shoot. Honestly, he did not even know where these photos would be used, the young Fae rarely asked as long as he was paid accordingly. A huff of smoke to wisp across perfect features and he was back on the main streets along with the bustle of the pedestrians. This job was for the people he was surrounded by, the masses, humans. Personally, Adon was never fond of his line of work as he felt the true beauty of the Fae was wasted on those that commonly viewed his visage. Comprehension of what a Fae truly was never touched the mortals the way he wanted.

That said, it brought him relative fame and gave him a decent base to build a life in this waking world. What a better place for a wayward boy with an emotional house created out of glass than a line of work where each snap of the lens caught an entirely fake presentation? Either way, there was more to the city of Valesport than this current job, his kind had a foothold here as there it was a supernatural hub. One location in particular he'd be paying a visit today to check in as a newcomer to the area; beyond that Adon Vereaux would be stopping by to surprise his dear sister, Ki.

The two never saw eye to eye, and rarely spent time around one another, especially now a days. Still, she was blood, and with no one else to turn to in these dark times she was a choice better than other options looming. Into the ever more crowded walkways of the uptown sector, the Brighton district to be precise, his cigarette had long since been smoked and discarded to be stomped on by passersby. He wished to stretch his angelic wings and soar, but such a striking sight in broad daylight surely would attract unneeded attention.

Adon was by no means a lover most desired to have, by the graces of his unnatural look drawing in the gaze of most in his presence. He never lacked a starry eyed follower to warm his bed, but that aggressive personality that consistently sought out a better partner only to discard them once he had them in his grasp was a cancer to him. Adon was a bundle of flaws that he buried down under as many layers as possible.

Arriving at what was basically an estate Adon let out a whistle at the premise. Now away from prying stares the young male skipped along the grounds with speed in his steps as not to waste anymore light, and in no time he was at the main structure's steps. There were a pair of nameless faces taken aback by his sudden appearance surely, as one moment their vision was clear of any guest, and in the next Adon simply was there. Like many humans that worked under the Fae, the Vereaux male assumed them innocent and well trained to handle his kind, and by that he meant glamored to the point of near slack jawed servitude.

There were no greetings given as he snapped his fingers while passing them by to bring about service to his coming, and like sheep they followed his command. "<font color="32cd03]Where is Ki? Her brother is here to request a meeting." Shrugging it off, he didn't care for the answer which may or may not have been provided. There was time to kill and he was in no hurry, she'd come to him sooner or later.

In the end, Adon would be sitting outside on the veranda all by his lonesome with a plate full of finger sandwiches and cellphone in hand idly trying to reach the "mistress" of the house. The waning hours of the day would soon be upon him, but then again that is where he thrived.

"<font color="498fdf]Shah Mat."

His arrival didn't go unnoticed. She kept a rather close eye on the grounds, and beyond what five senses of this realm could account for, she also expanded her aura like a thin drape, which netted itself over the lavish compound. Now standing between the outside and where she had been settled, her buxom body eased into the frame of the door while her hands continued to cradle her tea cup and matching saucer. Peculiar blue hues settled on the white haired male, examining his attire as well as his mannerisms, as the two were technical strangers. Ki learned of Adon's existence by proxy, and the very few times they had seen one another up close were in passing; brief glimpses that were not permitted to last longer than a few moments.

But without Kayen around, it seemed there was no longer a barrier between them.

"<font color="498fdf]Is the food to your liking?" Removing herself from the entrance, Ki practically glided beneath her layers of silk, hugged tight in more money than most people made in a year. Jewelry at her bust line matched her deep blue irises while gems dotting her tipped ears were pale aqua studs, but it all seemed very sapphiric in nature. Vereaux colors had always been Persian blue with gold embellishments, and if she was to act as the ambassador of the house and clan, it was expected she fit the part. "<font color="498fdf]But you didn't order any tea?" Her movements ceased when she was standing near his table, further assessing his choices in all manner of things she could take note of in a short amount of time. As this happened, a shuffling servant hurried out to where the two were located and stuck out their hand, presenting the missing phone to its owner.

"Madame, your phone has been found."

"<font color="498fdf]Ah, lovely. Run along then." Now studying the technology as she accompanied Adon in sitting, her legs crossed beneath the fine fabric and her breasts rose slowly for a long breath of air. "<font color="498fdf]I never understood why any of us bothered with these things. You wouldn't believe the amount of pictures I receive, most of which are penises, I might add." Rather than laughing over this, Ki seemed oddly serious, as though unable to understand why this would be the case. Why anyone, anywhere would send her pictures of their genitals. "<font color="498fdf]They act like I've never seen a phallus before. Incredibly dull... Humans can be incredibly dull."

"<font color="498fdf]But if you didn't come for tea, why are you here Adon?" Features formed a gracious smile, but the question would remain hovering in the air as long as it took for him to answer.

<img style="max-width:100%;float:left;margin:0 10px;" style="Adon" src="http://i.imgur.com/aRH2lhd.png]Adon was a brash youth taking life by the horns lest he fall off into the ever encroaching darkness that threatened to engulf him in even a brief second of stagnation. There should have been time and care placed into honing abilities that he grew more and more accustomed to by the day, but here he was fiddling away on phone he had no true use for other than his amusement and munching down little morsels that couldn't quite sate his appetite. While Ki surely had noticed his arrival long before he'd take note of her pending location, even Adon with his somewhat dulled senses cocked his head in her direction the instant she reached the door. Like Ki he had strange orbs to peer at her with, though while he possessed those deep blues of the Vereaux, a bright segmented green surrounded it like a fire, and they focused on her with surprising intensity to stare her down.

Here she was, a pure prodigy of their clan, looking to play the part as precise as possible. She was as every bit as beautiful as the times he'd last seen her. In fact, when were any of the Vereaux not modeled to near perfection? That said, perhaps Ki was even more so. He preferred the blonde hair blue eyes sort of deal, but who was he to judge when he had neither? His sister was a stunning beauty wrapped in fine fabrics all the same. "<font color="32cd03]I have no complaints, other than that they don't go far in filling my hunger." As if to make a point he popped another one into his mouth with little effort and in moments it was eaten like the handful prior. The did taste damn good though, that was hard to deny. If his 'hunger' was not a beast easily satiated then by no means would his thirst find itself settled with a spot of tea.

His own typing on the phone had since ceased as she approached, little need to communicate through text when the individual stood before you. A last message sent to an unwilling Arden, the screen flickering off, it was dropped back into the endless side pocket of his coat. "<font color="32cd03]Out of habit for trying to fit in I believe. I know I'm used to using the device at this point that it's almost second nature." The second part of her sentence struck home and Adon couldn't help but crack a sly grin, not that he dared to laugh at the face she held as she spoke. Considering his last text sent to Des went something along the lines of, 'u kno u want me bae.' Adon had little ground to stand on in this topic, not that he wouldn't bullshit his way through it.

"<font color="32cd03]Humans are a rather crass race of individuals, showing off their genitals for any attention they can garner." Giving a shrug he knew full well that he hadn't gotten into the meat of his presence at the Vereaux gardens. It was no easy topic to breech however, as their father had rarely permitted a gathering between the two for longer than the time to exchange glances. "<font color="32cd03]I'm here to check in firstly, best to know I'll be in the area for a spell in case something goes awry." Adon had Artemis to watch him of course, but having another to keep an ear out for trouble never hurt either. Besides, this was his clan, and he didn't want to step on any toes if possible. "<font color="32cd03]Apart from that though, I came to see you." A pause to collect what to say next he continued, segmented orbs never leaving hers. "<font color="32cd03]I suppose curiosity at how we were kept apart drew me here today, and now that I can see you I can't say I know what it is exactly that I expected to happen."

? ??????? ????? || The Sleeping Hunter - Kat - 12-06-2014

Ki waved a hand absently. <font color="#498fdf]"I never really learned to appreciate anything we make here save for the tea, but I prefer to serve myself." Glancing upwards at the distant sun as it moved lazily across the far horizon, she raised her cup to her lips. <font color="#498fdf]"Though I'm running rather late today. At this rate, I might as well stayed in bed." A peek of her curving mouth stuck out at each side of the rim as she took a slow swallow of the Dajeeling. His features were strange to look upon, a clear mix of the two clans he served for, though his attitude was entirely Vereaux. There were several reasons Kayen wanted Adon off and away from Ki and his other siblings, though she did nothing to drag up the past in the first few moments of their meeting. Contrary to what he may have thought, she knew his intentions for coming were not simply to peruse her wares in a manner of speaking.

Their Father, the great Fae and terrible sadist he was, had been cast to live between realms, and now held no power to insist Adon keep his distance. There was no crime in his visit, no punishment for speaking without a chaperon, and inevitably, no man to tell him who he couldn't fuck. Ki's lips remained smirking even as her white topped clansmen gave his responses, issuing a nod when he had finished to acknowledge her agreement. <font color="#498fdf]"Those under my employ as subdued, so consider them background." Motioning to an employee nearby, she explained further, <font color="#498fdf]"I have no real love for humans I cannot trust, and as it stands, very few have given me any reason to trust them. To treat them as toys, I accept. To give them room to shove a knife in my back? Hardly."

Smoothly her tongue ran along her lips and their natural pout. <font color="#498fdf]"So you sought me out to see if you could. Aren't you the bold one?" Beneath the table, the female easily found his thigh with her bare foot, the hanging appendage running gently against Adon's slacks. <font color="#498fdf]"So you see me now and you can think of nothing? Tsk."<font color="#498fdf] Tongue clicking against the roof of her mouth, the dark haired beauty straightened her back and glanced around the surrounding open of the gardens. It was a magnificent view from their table, practically engulfed in the tranquility The Sleeping Hunter was known for, though she highly doubted his intentions were so simple as a nature retreat in the ritzier part of town.

<font color="#498fdf]"Maybe you have questions for me. Most assuredly, I can answer them. At least I can answer those I know. The rest we may need to seek others who know more than myself." Slipping directly between his slightly spread thighs, Ki playfully rested her toes against his groin without mention of the action. <font color="#498fdf]"Or maybe you would prefer I ask the questions? I have a great many for you, Adon. After all, you're the one who got away."

? ??????? ????? || The Sleeping Hunter - Ghostly - 12-06-2014

<img style="max-width:100%;float:left;margin:0 10px;" style="Adon" src="http://i.imgur.com/aRH2lhd.png]As was to be expected, Ki was a perfect symbol of the Vereaux. From her appearance, to her mannerisms, the very nature of her existence served to exemplify this. Perhaps Adon was jealous in seeing what he wanted most but could never have. Never would he wear that frustration on those marvelous features of his, instead all full of cocksure grins and a gleaming gaze to melt the hearts of those around him. Adon gave but a nod in her feelings towards the humans, twas nothing he had not heard before and surely was not far from his own opinion on the matter. They were a necessity of the Fae to exist, but for him to think of them more than tools for his amusement and use? No.

"<font color="32cd03]I feared him for most of my life, to the point where I was not sure in believing that he had been cast out. Here we are though." Arms outstretched to the pair and their surroundings, Adon let out a sigh as if in relief that there was no retaliation to come of his words. Settling back down from his remark, a brief silence fell upon him where in he simply took in the beauty of the garden where these two sat like angels.

A single eyebrow would be raised at Ki's actions beneath the table as if to imply the question, "Are you trying to seduce me dear sister?" Adon would not deny her movements across his thigh. In fact far from it, letting her have access to play with every inch he possessed if she so desired to. The snow topped Fae lived for connections of any kind, starved for attention from whomever he could pull it from. If his sister wanted to rub his cock with her feet, then who was he to say no? Certainly not someone of human morals.

She was curious about his life when he himself had no interest in it? In this maybe Ki had more to ask of her brother than he of her. "<font color="32cd03]I'm not sure what you'd ask of me, honestly, but I'd be happy to give you what I can."

With one hand lightly caressing the top of her foot with firm digits, Adon would not miss another beat in the conversation. "<font color="32cd03]I know why my father has always held a distaste for me, why he barred me from getting close. I'm not a pure Vereaux like you. He made me as a joke towards the ideals of the Englos." While never being told in such words, Adon was by no means daft, and if there was a deeper reasoning behind Kayen's treatment towards the boy he wasn't sure if he wanted to know why. With a shrug Adon took a bite out of yet another sandwich, and as he chewed thought about as he did many times the implications of what his creation had been. There was no one to claim him as family, one figure left in mental shambles while the other having tired of the part Adon played in the situation. Beyond that the Englos would never accept him, like his father they were all about the purity of their clan. Adon was left to carve his own path in the waking lands with confidence never having a chance to thrive, built up by those that could tear it down so easily.

"<font color="32cd03]What was he like, Kayen Vereaux? The records hold more about him than I ever got in contact." His sister Ki was the prodigy, after all. Never for one second did he not think of her by his side. So of course the boy would be curious about his father that made no hesitation to shun his son away.

? ??????? ????? || The Sleeping Hunter - Kat - 12-06-2014

Adon wasn't the only Fae starved for attention, but Ki made no hint of her own lonesome disposition. Hers was a life defined by the plans someone else had made for her, so when that individual had been removed from the picture, the brunette was left to fend for herself. To learn, to love, to live. These were learned aspects, goals she created on the fly to keep herself from falling into a chasm of despair. Even thinking about Kayen brought a sort of haunting sorrow to the surface of her stare, even if the rest of her features didn't share the expressiveness. That Vereaux stiffness, all prim and proper and elegant, acted only to drown the flood of learned emotions the fleshlands saturated their kind with. <font color="498fdf]"Well, you needn't fear him anymore. I certainly don't."

Movements beneath the table continued languidly, running his length without ever breaching her otherwise pristine appearance, though neither was a fool in the matter. This was how all Fae politics worked, and if they were meant to discuss the lives they lived, there was no avoiding such foreplay. It was certainly more subtle than a simple demand that he get naked for her. Ki didn't come across the type to issue such a command anyway. <font color="498fdf]"As though I wouldn't be curious of your exploits." Ki continued nursing her tea, hiding the brief smiles she felt tugging at her lips behind the vessel.<font color="498fdf] "What have you been doing with yourself? Better yet, where have you been staying? I haven't heard but a few passing details, and those only brought upon a new sense of curiosity. You are my favorite soap opera, Adon." Lashes fluttered as they were batted at the other Fae in playful regard.

<font color="498fdf]"Oh? You think that was the only reason?" Toes brushed against growing arousal as they sized him up, his fingers light on the top of her foot. <font color="498fdf]"And what if he, like many others, created you as a decoy?" Ki relinquished the hold she had on her cup and settled it back into the groove of it's matching saucer. <font color="498fdf]"If you were to take center stage, being who and what you are, do you think Kayen could get away with something else?" Slowly, Ki leaned forward to rest on her elbows, the tableware pushed to the side so ample breasts were allotted space to sit. Her voice was no more than a sultry purr. <font color="498fdf]"Kayen didn't care whether or not you were pure. After all, he created a union with Cara Calista Englos to make you... If the Englos were so detestable, he would be the most vile of our clan." Hands forming a cradle, they held Ki's chin so she could stare dreamily at Adon, with those dark swirling irises fixated on his face.

<font color="498fdf]"Perhaps his plans were more intricate than he was given credit for. While quite mad, Kayen's madness was most noticeable when he was plotting something." He ate while she spoke, and she didn't mind the action, quietly pleased that he was here and willing to converse, even if he was stuffing his face with finger sandwiches. Her words faltered towards the end when Adon asked what their creator was like, but she only took a moment to mull over her approach to answering. If anyone knew the answer, it was Ki.

<font color="498fdf]"Dangerous." Ki sighed in a fashion akin to reminiscent want.<font color="498fdf] "He worked outside of the rules, and respected the name Vereaux, but not those who wore it. I've heard he did many horrible things in the time before my creation, but while I lived with him, he never harmed me." Tonguing her bottom lip before biting into the flesh coyly, Ki added, <font color="498fdf]"He used to tell me I was his favorite, but I knew he was a liar. No matter what he said, I always knew..."
<font color="498fdf]
"Kayen Vereaux loves no one as much as he loves himself."

I win your case, you buy the drinks!

It was a bit unprofessional for a slogan, but Caoimhe didn't deal with professionals. The Arden Watcher worked with the most vile patrons she could find inhabiting Valesport. She had no concerns over whether her clients were meta or human, she just preferred that they had done something unspeakable. Caoimhe made her living in the Fleshlands as a criminal defense lawyer. Not because she had some sense of equity, but because the human justice system was convoluted, corrupt, and flawed, and she took great pleasure in shoving that back in their faces. Criminals went free in Caoimhe's care; she was the scum of the Earth to most of her peers, but she was a queen in the delinquent underworld.

"I don't even have to charm them," she would explain, almost excitedly. "They're just that stupid."

Persecutors never quite knew what to do with her. On the one hand they despised her position, but on the other hand they liked watching the way her ass looked in a pencil skirt as she sashayed across a courtroom. It was perhaps a bit unfair, even with glamour she was still unusually attractive. She was all curves, and pale skin, and red curls. Her eyes were two different hues, even without the mask, but they lacked the mesmerizing swirls of her triple ringed orbs.

"You must be real, fuckin' proud of yourself, Arden."

Harsh words interrupted her recces, and she stopped leaning against one of the columns outside the courthouse to turn around and face the speaker. It was the prosecuting attorney from her current trial. Eyes flickered over the human form wrapped in a slate gray suit and her lips curled into an amused grin around her cigarette. She smoked because she felt it fit her devious persona. "What's the matter, Wayne?" she teased, blowing smoke as she plucked the cigarette from her mouth. "I find that you are a very, very sore loser."

"I haven't lost, yet," he snapped. He frowned and she only looked entirely too amused at his use of 'yet.' Instead of trying to defend himself further he rushed off back to the courtroom and Caoimhe finished her cigarette.

~~

"Is that slogan of yours just posturing or what?"

She turned her head to the sound of the voice, projecting itself in her ear over the sounds of the bar. Her cigarette was burning itself out in an ashtray, and she swirled a shot of Crown Royal in it's glass. Montgomery Wayne was worse at losing than she had originally thought. "Are you trying to find out the hard way?" she always spoke to him like he was a child; a spoiled, pouting child. She threw her head back and emptied the shot with ease. Picking up her cigarette, she tapped off the excess ash before bringing to her mouth. "What do you want, Wayne?"

"To see you fail at something," he sneered, motioning for the bartender. "I am going to drink that fine ass of yours under the table." Her jubilant laughter could be heard over most of the noise in the bar. This was a poor flirtation, driven by the man's desire to dominate her. If not in court than perhaps in the bar.

"Fine, but you're paying."

~~

Montgomery wasn't used to being the one waking up in an unfamiliar bed, and he most certainly wasn't accustomed to waking up alone. The perks of being a handsome lawyer from Cape Elizabeth. He probably felt like shit as he wandered around Caoimhe's Brighton apartment, as he tried to piece together where he was, and what happened the night before. The Watcher sat at her kitchen island, smoking a cigarette and reading the morning paper. "Good morning," she greets, loftily, when the boxer-clad man found his way into her brightly lit kitchen. His jaw clenched so tightly, Caoimhe imagined his teeth could snap with the pressure of it. To her credit, she did not laugh at him, even though she really wanted to.

"What the hell happened?"

"I drank you under the table and then I brought you home and fucked you."

There was a drawn out silence, she traded her cigarette for her coffee.

She finished her coffee as he got dressed and gathered his belongings. She barely bothered to look up from the paper as he announced he was leaving. He'd hardly made it do the door before he came storming back to throw an accusing digit in her direction.

"You know what? Fuck you, Arden."

"Oh, Wayne, you already did."

She took amused sips of her coffee as she stood by the window and watched his walk of shame down the sidewalk from her apartment. If Wayne was a sore loser, she was a very, very poor winner.

Turning away from the window, she dumped the rest of her coffee in the sink and used her phone to call for a car to pick her up. As she moved into the living room to gather case files off the coffee table, she guessed it was a good time to check on her charge. Telepathic tendencies, like roaming tethers, searched out Ki Vereaux like they had a hundred times before. Fae rarely utilized the ability that came naturally to their kind, but she found it the easiest way to keep tabs on Ki, since she spent very little time in her presence.

Is everything alright? She asks automatically, when she felt confident that her words would reach Ki's mind. She slipped her coat over her shoulders, as she left the apartment and locked the door behind her. She stood on the sidewalk, briefcase in one hand, cell phone in the other as she waited for the car.

It's been a while since I last checked in with you.

Artemis' hair was slicked back in his business casual best, though the color was a blatant lie. Mortals didn't appreciate his natural emerald vibrancy as it was entirely uncommon to most species aside from various bird life, so the green was glamoured to black, and his eyes had been dulled to match in mundane fashion sense. It worked for his profession, which unlike many of his clansmen, involved page upon page of paperwork. In the midst of all the filing and number crunching, the Watcher was still obligated to watch their charge, and lately Adon had been a handful. Angry messages from numerous Arden women had hinted at the extent of the damages, but more detailed accounts came as his week progressed. By the time the performer Ziggy Stardust had attested to having been harassed, it was mid Friday afternoon and he had other deadlines to meet.

His previous conversation with Adon had been over the chat program Chattr, which was geared towards those metas comfortable with mortal technology - encrypted and heavily monitored by the more tech savvy Nosferatu clan so no one would be stumbling into information they didn't need to know. Often Adon chose this platform of communication to interact with his otherwise wayward watcher, probably because he had a habit of mistaking Artemis' username with that of other Arden women. Quite possibly, Artemis had seen Adon's penis more times than he really cared to. Once was enough, but the weeks following proved that Adon either couldn't read the contact information clearly, or he just didn't care who saw his manhood.

Of course, the two had stopped speaking a few hours ago at this point, and Artemis ventured that the grand scheme his charge had concocted would be in the works as he packed up to leave. No one needed to tell Artemis that being the account manager to a textiles company would be monotonous, tedious, and uneventful ninety nine percent of the time; they did though. His branch of the family didn't argue the decision, but his cousins had spent a great many gatherings trying to convince him he didn't need to stoop so low. Low as in balancing a budget for a no name company was beneath him. Them as a whole, as they put it. Artemis would argue that their life's work was to chronicle other clans exploits, so no matter how they chose to spend their time in the mortal world, it all boiled down to whether or not the Great library was filled with the who, what, where, when, and why of their fellow council recognized clans.

Bringing this up was frowned upon, but he was used to being disappointing to his peers.

As nondescript as possible, the slender male didn't use the telepathic link between himself and Adon. Instead, he used the same messaging service the two were now comfortably attached to, quickly asking where his charge was. Preferably not too far away, as it meant catching a cab; not because he couldn't just cross into the umbra to travel quickly. No, Artemis just strived to fit the role he chose for himself, and in such, a businessman who lived uptown in the posh sprawl of Briton's studio lofts took cabs and complained about high fare prices.

<img style="Adon" style="max-width:100%;float:left;margin:0 10px;" src="http://i.imgur.com/aRH2lhd.png] Adon always had a nagging suspicion that he was but a pawn in Kayen's insidious grander machinations. Of course he had never been privy to such schemes. Why would the puppet need to know what strings the master would pull next? Beside that, despite wishing to know more about his progenitor, there was a natural distaste in trying to seek him out. Ki was right on all fronts in that Kayen loved himself above all else, that he was a man one never wished to cross. The records painted a picture similar, but to hear it from the one he knew was closest to their father only solidified his curiosity. Only with him banished away did he dare step over the lines that had been laid out clearly by the elder Vereaux.

Ki could proclaim it to all of the heavens, but even now fear panged the back of his conscious of what consequences this action now might bring down the line when Kayen was allowed back to this plane of existence. The twisted man would be free; this was a certainty, but hopefully not in any near prospects. However, time to an immortal was akin to the rapids of a winding river, never quite knowing where the destination lay or how quickly one ended up there.

Adon like his partner never broke that supernatural gaze, memorizing every feature of her face, all of the mannerisms that Ki would be gracious enough to show him in this dialogue. While he grasped at the fortune to have this meeting now, one never knew when it would all be snatched away.

"<font color="32cd03]I don't doubt his intellect, certainly not his madness, together they make for an individual that all should keep a close eye on, or off of in my case." Adon desired knowledge and interaction of those created alongside him, to have the recognition of the one who formed his very being, but as he grew and learned of his father, the better he thought it to shy away. There was safety, even if it was a feigned sense in not having direct contact with the one he'd read horrifying tales of.

There came a buzz through his tight slacks, which Ki more than likely felt as her toes ran the now hardened length of his cock. "<font color="32cd03]Pardon me briefly." The hand he had been using to draw circles across the fair skin of her foot now instead lightly pushed against the intruding appendage, though would allow it access once more after he'd unzipped his pants and freed his pulsing member for her to caress directly. Then Adon would go about pulling his phone from his coat to see just who had messaged him. Rarely was he the one to receive direct communication unless the other party had been provoked. The name on the header of the message was not one unknown and quickly did he open the text from his watcher. While their relationship was a strange one, Artemis was by all accounts a great Arden, and Adon while having his quirks complimented the bland Fae well.

What he had gotten was a simple question as to his whereabouts, and in return he gave a single line answer along the lines of, "kis place gettin fj." In addition to that there would be a winky emoticon at the end of the text, as was his writing quirk. Then the phone would be put on silent and dropped back into one of his many deep pockets. "<font color="32cd03]Apologies, my watcher was curious as to where I am." He wished to roll his eyes, but knew it would be rude to his present company. All he could ask for was that Artemis would take his sweet time in dropping by, or even not at all.

Adon wasted no time in regaining his train of thought, a flash of those pearly whites in a grin that he figured all of the Vereaux men had down pat. Ki's manners were by far better than his own, but then again she ran a tea garden as a key figure of their clan. It would be a disservice to be anything but pristine in her outward expressions. "<font color="32cd03]I'd have canceled my show long ago honestly, but I'm glad you enjoy taking a look at the road map of my life." Adon lost that cheshire grin for but a moment to a more genuine smile at the fact that another had taken a liking to the tale of his travels. "<font color="32cd03]Truthfully I can't say I've had any permanent residence as of late." More so for that fact that he had nothing to tie him down, his obligations were limited and were not so oppressive as not to allow him an unfettered reign of his aimless wandering. "<font color="32cd03]Work keeps me traveling all around so I tend to rent for a month or two until the shoot picks up and changes locales."

"<font color="32cd03]I can't say modeling is exciting, but it allows me to see the world and meet people and creatures of all kinds." There was a growing desire behind those oceans of an an almost toxic looking green. Adon wanted to be known the world round, no, needed that recognition. He'd give himself purpose where none had been prior, and have himself in a position to be adored by all and scorn those that conveyed disdain for his position. He'd accomplish this through his work, knowing full well his talents were not in his intellect or cunning, but by his tenacity and birthright. "<font color="32cd03]Do you enjoy your work here? It all seems quite relaxing to manage this garden."

"<font color="498fdf]Are you afraid?"

Splintering shards shred flesh with popping wet noises. Muscles being flayed from their ligament bedding. Ki imagined the past in great detail, though it all remained hidden behind tranquil, somewhat subdued features. Twisted imagery such as her memories didn't belong at the tea table. "<font color="498fdf]I wouldn't say it's unwise to fear him, but he has a very long time away from this realm, and longer still outside the gates of Arcadia." Ki's tea was rapidly cooling under her breath, barely room temperature as she swallowed the remainder of the Darjeeling. Fae had peculiar hues and hers were no different, blue like the dusk sky, and as luminous as a flashlight. She didn't bother to raise her Glamour while home in the gardens because the mortals under her employment were so enthralled by the magicks present, they couldn't tell a difference. It was a comfortable set up free from the woes of an otherwise corrupt city.

Not that the tea gardens didn't have their own brand of corruption creeping through the quiet halls.

Something warm was released from close confines and her toes were met with taut skin stretched across throbbing girth. Ki couldn't help biting her bottom lip at his coyness, at his nonchalance, because he reminded her of the very monster monopolizing their conversation. Not one to compare others, the raven crowned femme finally tore her searching orbs away to seek the distant pathways leading into the park, humming her pleased agreements. In her mind, the whispers of her own Watcher cut through like velvet static - incredibly smooth, but irritating nonetheless. Not that her qualms were with Caoihme, but the method of conversation itself. Born of the modern age, Ki rarely avoided technology, but this sort of connection was reliable no matter where she happened to be, thus she tolerated the strange interference without complaint.

Smashing. Ki motioned to a servant to remove her empty cup, knowing they would bring another in it's place. Adon stopped by to see me. The Vereaux couldn't help the smile she wore as she added plainly, He's being most gracious.

Sensing her company's attitude shift, it was refreshing to see his worries pushed away from their meeting. After all, Ki didn't wish anyone under the Vereaux banner ill-will, and Adon proved an entertaining guess. So rarely did she have the chance to mingle with her own kind, it was something of an oddity to be able to speak candidly. Guests at the tea gardens were mostly mundanes on retreat, the vacationing baby boomers and traveling tourist types; other Fae came when there was reason. Yet he sat on the veranda in modelesque radiance, hair the color of the morning sun, pale blonde and perfect. They were similar in nothing other than their clan name, and even that was a strange turn of events neither were involved in plotting. Idly, the soft skin of her foot worked, secretive beneath the table to trace the outline of his cock. Even if the employees could care less, it was low-key.

Ki found it strangely provocative, this paired with the discretion which was woven into the tapestry of her making.

"<font color="498fdf]If you were to cancel the show, whom else would I keep tabs on?" Where she was propped, hovering above the table with her cleavage pressed and open for wandering eyes, Ki glance back to her clansmen while questioning. "<font color="498fdf]I wish I could say I've had time to travel, but the best I can do is bring the exotic to my neck of the woods." Tipping her chin, the Fae motioned to their surroundings in offhanded display as though what he saw was what she meant. "<font color="498fdf]Sometimes I find gems in the rough, but this isn't exactly the Bunny Ranch, and I don't advertise that I'm looking." It was then her demeanor shifted ever so slightly, openly returning to a seductive purr she felt more comfortable issuing now that he seemed to have relaxed. "<font color="498fdf]Though..." The digits along his member pressed firmer. "<font color="498fdf]I'm always looking."

Adon earned the smile he received with his last inquiry. "<font color="498fdf]Oh, I do enjoy it here. There's safety nets as far as the eye can see so nothing can roam this way without me knowing." Dark lashes blinked dreamily while he was stroked and rubbed and adored, her other foot having raised so he was cradled between her arches. The whole act was playful, not intended to get him off, but how she loved to feel his cock twitch while she worked. "<font color="498fdf]I am safe, and I am well fed, and... Well, I find ways to entertain myself when it's slow."

[/img]"http://i.imgur.com/aRH2lhd.png" style="Adon" style="max-width:100%;float:left;margin:0 10px;] Did he fear Kayen? Adon would have to be a fool not to, so the question went unanswered apart from a look of understanding given towards Ki. Even in knowing full well the extent of their elder's incarceration in the horror of the hedge did he continue to be wary. An existence like his he'd met before, and a lesson learned early on was that a mere lack of their presence did not guarantee safety. They were already here, watching, waiting, it was just a matter of when they decided to impose themselves. Kayen was well confined, but the punishment for this meeting had already been handed down, all Adon had to do was wait for it.

This was neither to time or place to dwell on a future grim and abysmal. He had Ki who actually seemed to value his company, in fact from what he saw she thrived on it. Here the two sat after all the years gone by enjoying a candid conversation that could be had by few these days. Adon certainly couldn't recall the last time he had the another to listen to the affairs of his heart.

Adon wasn't one for tea, too bitter the taste and often lacking the patience to properly take pleasure in such a drink. From what he saw in his travels, one could swallow as much as they wished in a hurry, but the ceremony to truly take it in with an appropriate mindset and atmosphere required true dedication. When one of the servants came around to serve Ki he simply gave them one glance and a gesture towards his sister's cup to have one brought his way as well. This is what he could get behind. There was no Glamour behind either of their appearances, save for their wings, and that came but from habit. The illuminating beacons of their eyes demanded respect, and around these weaker beings they received it. Ki and Adon were free to speak whatever they desired to the other without reprieve while they worshiped the other in every way they could find. When the tea hit his palette he'd relax further into his chair with a sigh and shut his vision to the world for but a moment. The fleshlands with all of the madness it wrought, at least there was this tea he could share with his sister. "<font color="32cd03]Then I'll strive to keep going for one more season as long as you're watching." Quiet as though not said to her, but more for himself; a glimpse into the facade he raised as a defense towards all others.

What went on beneath the table stirred him, but surely would not lead to any explosive ending. Adon did return to watching Ki with an enthusiasm rarely appreciated as his partner felt up each inch of his length with digits softer than most others had on their own hands. It was like a gentle embrace between lovers that had been kept from one another for a spell too long. While she memorized the shape of his manhood, seeming to relishing in the careful massage she was giving, he focused those strange oculars of his not to her face but down towards her ample bosom displayed on the table that acted as a platter for them. There was no shame in this, picturing what it would be to see her on the ground with his cock down her throat and his fingers entwined in that raven hair.

Ki's words raised his gaze ever so slightly along with a low hum from his chest as she applied a firm pressure to his member. Adon wasted no time in placing that provocative grin back to his features in response to an equally inviting statement. "<font color="32cd03]I believe in this we are quite alike." His tea sadly was lukewarm, the man only appreciating several initial sips. Now he held the porcelain in both hands now at his lips, eyes ablaze as they peered over the rim while he spoke. "<font color="32cd03]I've met all walks of life, and the prospects are few and far between." Setting the cup down, Adon reached across the table to lay a hand atop her own. Here was a jewel before him like no one else could match, and he wanted to snatch it up despite the dangers such an action might provoke. "<font color="32cd03]I am always looking as well, but I know when I've found what I want."

There was nothing that Adon wanted to hear than that she was safe. Even without having had the privilege of knowing her intimately, or even remotely well for most of his life, he wished for her well being and comfort in this world. This was a strange feeling, as though a weight was lifted off of his soul to know Ki was alright. At the same time though, he couldn't help but have a nagging thought as though a looming dread hung over her.

Whatever the case might have been, Adon certainly couldn't shine the light on it all now. Not that he had knowledge what demons there may or may not have been concerning both of them. Right now he knew what had to be done, at least in his mind. "<font color="32cd03]Would you care to show me how you keep yourself busy on slow days like this?" Soft features were in a smile, his thumb gentle as it caressed the top of her hand. All of this as the bottom of her foot would be smeared in precum from the head of his cock.

Smooth.

? ??????? ????? || The Sleeping Hunter - Kat - 12-11-2014

"<font color="498fdf]Flatter me."

Passively letting her smile slip, his comment hadn't gone unnoticed. On the contrary, Ki didn't directly breach what he was implying because her guess on what it meant was limited only to her imagination. Having never thought of pulling the curtain on her own show, she couldn't sympathize; only remain a keen ear at his side. Were there sides, she would surely be on his, wouldn't she? "<font color="498fdf]Flatter me and continue to play your part, if only to appease me..." The smile returned, devious and suggestive to imply it was pleasing to ask for such things, even if she expected to be denied that sort of control. "<font color="498fdf]If I didn't know any better, I would say you're looking for someone to give you meaning in your life. Don't wait for them, Adon. Let me be your testament to what the waiting fledgling looks like." And as they sat in the gardens with their tea and their wonderfully playful banter, she didn't seem at all afraid to admit her own short comings. Where they met, she would wait, and there was no amount of time to give for just how long it may take until she earned her freedom. At least the confines that kept Ki prisoner were those she chose personally, albeit unknowingly.

One can never be sure when they are agreeing to where their tomb will rest.

Easing to sit up straight, Adon's hand was warm against the back of hers, and instinctively, her palm shifted to meet his. "<font color="498fdf]You come by your appetites honestly." The cut of her dress did wonders to press and display her ample bosom, soft flesh begging to be held in the very hold they shared across the table. Even when the words seemed so casual, there would always be something lingering in the background of their rendezvous, threatening to surface without warning or hesitation. The Fae always seemed to work on a timeline, even when the timeline wasn't entirely clear to them, and neither of the creatures present were different in that regard. If nothing else, Ki could smell it on his body; the sweet musk of anxiety. All the more arouse her senses, the raven haired vixen licked her lips with a brief murmur of contentment.

The bottom of her foot was slick with precum, though this was an afterthought in the face of what he was asking for. Subtle in a manner even Ki approved of, the femme gathered her newly refilled tea and took a refreshing sip to push back what may have easily became a sultry string of unnecessary verbs. "<font color="498fdf]Have I captured your curiosity?" Relinquishing the grasp the soles of feet held on his manhood, they were placed against the ground, bare and undeterred. "<font color="498fdf]If you have time, I can show you a thing or two." Had anyone else uttered these words, they may have seemed condescending to some degree, but Ki had a way of making even boastful remarks flattering towards those who heard them. Inviting Adon to partake in forbidden fruits, guiding with the lyrical tones of her earthbound persona. What Kayen made was unmistakably Fae, feminine and wanton, characteristically alluring in an ethereal shell.

Taking the lead came naturally, unapologetic and without pause. Ki would take him where he wished to go, leaving behind the servants and their vacant stares, as well as her half consumed Darjeeling.

Beckoning with a bat of her lashes, the Vereaux heir waited for Adon to come inside, and when it was assured he was still game, she took his hand once more and journeyed their duo upstairs. The steps were old and worn, older than Ki and likely older than her companion, but they were neat and worked well enough with the rest of the decor. The estates rested peacefully in the middle of the gardens, and vine trellis crawled high enough that the upstairs windows were encased in greenery. Mindful he had never been to the Sleeping Hunter, Ki motioned to the places they passed and spoke with a fondness she had learned to exhibit over many moons. "<font color="498fdf]We tell the visitors stories of ghosts during the Halloween festivities." Motioning to the long hall they exited into, Ki added, <font color="498fdf]"And we tell them here that a woman was slain by her jaded lover, who then threw himself from the balcony of their room and landed on his neck."

The eerie tale of romance wasn't at all distracting from why they were upstairs, but Ki didn't get into greater detail.

At the end of the long hall, it curved left, and presented a single door at the far back, which Ki traveled to with almost haunting grace. The door was opened and inside were the fineries expected from a rustic habitat on this side of town. The bed could fit several people if the need arose, and the linens were freshly changed, the air still smelling of chamomile and ginseng. A bureau hugged the wall near the entrance to the bathroom, and a series of tables and dressers covered the space to either side of the mattress. There was even a table and chairs to sit on the balcony overlooking the veranda they had been on previously, though Ki doubted Adon was looking for another long winded conversation over more tea.

"<font color="498fdf]Please, make yourself at home." Ki did just what she asked of her companion, finding a seat at the edge of the bed while still bare toes ran along the plush carpeting. Most of the rooms had timberwood flooring, but she had insisted she had no real want or desire for such blandness, so a royal blue installment was made to match the inlaid designs in the furniture. One look told the story of a rich woman, spoiled and pampered and preened, though it didn't seep through when she spoke. At least not to Adon, who was an equal in her eyes, even if others had no want or desire to agree. Idly, one of her hands ran along the v-cut of her bust, tracing the framing fabric that mockingly kept her body from his view. The anticipation was palpable as fingers eased their tips behind the veil of cloth, her glowing orbs directed at his features.

"<font color="498fdf]As you can see, my pastime pleasure is not so different from your own." A sculpted eyebrow raised in question. "<font color="498fdf]Of course, I could be reading you wrong. Enlighten me?"
