Aww yiss--keep it classy! XD We made jello shooters with wine and poprocks.
It seemed like a good idea at the time.
The family visit was...better than if we'd visited them? They also wound up staying NOT IN OUR HOUSE which is always fab. :D But as we didn't have any time off, that meant instead of a few nights of rest while they had their granddaughter and a couple days of actual visiting, we were out every single night until forever AM followed by work...so I got overloaded with drama every single day instead of 1-2 nice wine-drowned doses of inter-familial bitching. I plowed through way too much wine while they were here. And I'm still super tired. Being a massive disappointment of a human being is, apparently, exhausting.
But! My baby is home now, and she's adorable! I have stocked my fridge full of vegetables and have acupuncture tomorrow! My Peter Hollens CD is here! My mother actually liked the crochet cardinals! My youngest brother was tickled beyond reason by his full collection of MLP comics--which Humble Bundle leveled up right before he got here! And I've been writing! (For reference, typically, after a visit from/to my parents, my muse runs away screaming for weeks. He's pumped up for some reason this time though, and being kind of a badass about it.) So life is quite excellent. *much flailing*

Ah, family always wears me out as well.
I love them, but the holidays become such a hassle with their input on every minute detail of my life.
Always questions, and always about things I haven't figured out for myself, so it's a bunch of disappointment on my end as well. xD

He's waiting on Starbucks to get back to him for a job, and they said he's a shoe in once his background check finishes up.
So hopefully tomorrow (or later today as it turns out).
Anyway, I'm slowing down activity wise outside of writing, meaning I can try and play catch up now.
Should be fun/awful because while I love writing, I loathe finding the mindset to rewind to the point I left the rp off at.
Not impossible, but a bump in the road.

[/quote]In the next couple of years they'll move down here for good and then I'll have to figure out something different than wine to cope :D I rather like how the bulk of my life stands at the moment--mayhaps that's why my muse was all "so what? write anyway!" *shrugs* It'd be nice to not be exhausted by little comments that wear one down, though.

And yar. Good luck on the catch up--I usually take a day to re-read, then another couple of days to write once I remember what voice the character has lol...it's tough when there's so many!
