Nope--I think it's because I try not to put things my character doesn't know (like names...and if she can't see well, descriptions) in my posts. Which leaves things in special nonsensical places sometimes.

Not from my point of view. After all, killing him now means that if things went wrong later she couldn't abandon him as a distraction. Killing him before she knows if he could be useful is remarkably short sighted, especially when he's already injured and would make an easy sacrifice if needed later.

^_^ She hasn't killed him yet. She's just planning to, because she thinks it would honestly be better than leaving him in agony. Because yeah, while the easy sacrifice was her plan with Zad, but unless someone points that ^^^ out to her, in her mind her first instinct is very much "why prolong unnecessary suffering when they'll waste food that could be mine and die anyway", just like it was on her world.
But yeah. No one's gonna like Anya until she settles down and starts figuring out she can (and does) need other people to survive.
