I didn't even notice until I posted it and there was Naveen Andrews staring at me where a dwarf should have been

Edit: I just saw that picture after I had made a joke about Lando being Space Varrick and suddenly I had a lot of ideas about Zhu Li as a stoic space captain and Varrick as a space smuggler and special jedi who use the force to control elements idk idk

The more I think about it the more they just turn into original characters though? Which tends to happen. I mean, look at Kreska. She's just "Kirk and Spock had a baby and the baby was Han Solo, also she's tiny and green"

this is also true if anyone wanted to do something with kreska somewhere (probably duat because that's where she likes to loiter even though she probably shouldn't do that with multiple people out for her head)

I have terrible roleplaying ideas, news at 11

The real reason I never do fandom roleplays is because usually I have very strong feelings about all of the characters involved and how they would behave. You can't mess up the characterization on original characters!

Well, you can. But it's pretty difficult if you do it badly enough that I can tell.

I don't do pre-existing chars for RP. I do for scribblings and offline fanfic...

I have done RPs in pre-existing settings. I don't mind things like...there's a dogfight in the distance that my char sees but isn't part of, or having an opinion about a famous character. But one of the reasons I'm meh about fandom RPs is because folks try to do characters from a series even if they aren't supposed to and...well. Fail anyway. XD It's not an entertaining read if I'm throwing things at the screen and yelling at people who can't hear me. *whistles* It might be for anyone who happens upon me while this occurs. But. Yeah.

Only mildly related to a post earlier: Sascha may be at the end of her storyline? I haven't heard from Vagrant in a long while. Soooo...she might could hide out in Duat and evade prices on her head toooo. Maybe. I also might could bring in Fate. Everyone needs a hacker who can clear up those pesky bounty issues, right?

Aaaaaand my mom's car that we've been driving is apparently completely unsafe, our car still won't start and it's frozen to the ground, so we have to pay for a tow and whatever it takes to fix the fucker. And we still haven't found a place that will rent both to students and to a couple (usually they do one or the other).

As to the fandom stuff, I've been dragged into it against my will before, but...usually, the closest I get is borrowing the setting and then saying 'but the main characters never existed in this universe'.

It would honestly be really convenient for me if it would snow like crazy, but even when it does they almost never close campus. They only close when the bridge to Canada is closed. We can't get the car looked at until Wednesday, too. My husband's planning for us to drive the unsafe van to the gas station so we can take the bus, but that's such a colossal fucking pain in the dick I am tempted to just email my professors instead. "Car is broke, fuck this shit I ain't going"

Except I feel bad because I already missed class once when our pipes burst and we had no water. And there's no way Andrew will be willing to miss class, which means he'd be taking the bus all by himself and that sounds very stressful. owo I'm planning to call around to a few places that say online that they have vacancies, but no one around here uses the damn internet, so. The only real way to find rentals half the time is to drive around suburbs looking for signs?? And for flyers on campus. It's super lame.

I've mostly been thinking about it because there are so many RP blogs reblogging my weird stuff on Tumblr now and some of them are kind of neat. Some of them are awful, but. Some of them are neat. ;p
