Osiris Lunar Colony

Technically the colony is on the lunar body rs9247b, but absolutely no one calls it that. While Osiris is technically the name of the gas giant the colony orbits, everyone tends to refer to the colony as simply Osiris as shorthand. The planet Osiris is a major source of fuel throughout Terran Allied Space, and thus has become something of a hub, with its own representative Senate. The colony is separated into four quadrants on top of the underground base that lies beneath each quadrant. Because the moon is not terraformed, the colony is in effect a sealed biosphere. The majority of transport is automated, with citizens taking either public transportation or private automated vehicles depending on their economic class. Private, non-automated vehicles owned by an individual are extremely rare.

The Osiris Lunar Colony is a Terran Allied Colony, and most laws tend to be very human-centric as a result of this. There are nonetheless numerous immigrants who have joined the Terran Alliance to become Osiris Citizens, and the population of the colony is extremely diverse. Non-citizens are allowed on the colony as either temporary visitors, or as ambassadors, with the hope that their respective cultures will join the Terran Alliance. Terran Allied Forces take care of most of the peacekeeping on Osiris, but private buildings and corporations often prefer to hire corporate enforcers.

The Eastern Quadrant
Old money, old poverty, and government. There is a garden on the lower levels comparable in many ways to Central Park. The Senate is nearer to the higher levels, as well as all of the nicer houses owned by government officials. This is the oldest quadrant on Osiris.

The Southern Quadrant
The industrial quadrant, where fuel is packaged and processed for export. The people who live there, between the refineries, work in the fuel industry. This is also where the ports are located, as well as a number of bars and pawn shops serving the locals.

The Northern Quadrant
The majority of Osiris' population lives in the Northern Quadrant. There is a great deal of wasted space here to allow for the sprawl these middle-class denizens desire. Malls, suburbs, and small office buildings comprise most of the Northern Quadrant.

The Western Quadrant
The Western Quadrant is the most recently built and top-of-the-line quadrant. The lower levels are high-efficiency office buildings owned by large corporations, and real estate gets more expensive the higher one moves. At the highest levels are exclusive apartment buildings and mansions, carefully sculpted private beaches and the most prestigious retail establishments.
