I know that feeling. I got better about it when I switched to OneNote because it's a lot easier to use the touchscreen in bed, but I'm still terribad at posting on days when I'm a lazybutt.

The cookies were only because I had chips leftover from work thanksgiving to begin with. Soon as we get to Granny's tomorrow we're in charge of the turkey, and she's in charge of the child. *pumps fist* Gonna be the juiciest, yummiest bird ever. And such a low-stress day because even though Granny apparently thinks I'm a lush, I don't have to figure out how to entertain the toddler solo AND my parents won't be there. XD

If I didn't live with family I would probably not bother with the holiday at all tbh. I've looked for volunteering opportunities to do instead but we're actually too rural for that, it seems like.

It's really all about doubling up on donations and the filling up of the freezer with cheaper meat so our grocery bill thru January is less terrifying.
I love my family. But I also love that it's a looooong distance relationship.
Edit: okay, to be fair, it's also a revisiting of gratitude -- hubs and I have a tradition where we review some of the things/events/people/whatevs we've been grateful for over the year. Little might be into it this year...gonna try!
