Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Tindome - 11-21-2014 THE SSL ISSUE GOT FIXED you can now safely visit alonimi.net without getting any weird alerts about stuff, everything is awesome, feel free to link your friends 8D Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Kat - 11-21-2014 Ah, I just heard it, and I don't think it is. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Tindome - 11-21-2014 If I made a more traditional fantasy setting (i.e. some kind of western european deal, not a south asian island or Literally The Woods) would anyone use it? I figure a city-state located at a central trade route might be neat. Probably basically Venice. And if I played anyone it would probably be a bearded urban dwarf lady. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Panda - 11-22-2014 A...bearded urban dwarf lady? I'm scared. Meanwhile, what level of magic/tech/magitech/etc? Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Tindome - 11-22-2014 I'm thinking in general in my cohesive world areas magic will be relatively low-level for normal people, with high magic being reserved for people who are rich or crazy or both and who generally don't go to cities or interact with normal people. Magic for most people will be very 'practical', lots of crystals or other physical items with magic in them, more alchemy than magic words, lots of book learnin'. I very much like integrating magic and technology, I'm thinking pre-industrial but late pre-industrial. No factories yet, but you've got things like enchanted lamps. Magic Level: Discworld would probably not be inaccurate. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Kat - 11-22-2014 Aw yiss. I certainly would. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Panda - 11-22-2014 Hmm. I have plenty of experience building both magic systems and magitech, and both of those seems like they'd work, especially one of my favored styles of magic...which is something you need to be born into rather than just learning. So I'd be interested. The main problem for me, I think, would be deciding which character to use, as I have so many... ...eh, I'll worry about it after I manage to do other stuff. Like the post I still owe but am too brain-broken to make progress on. Or the character I was making for the wasteland. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - tsunderebanchou - 11-22-2014 I feel bad, because I poof even from the chat threads. Yesterday I was so tired I couldn't even walk... :/ Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Kat - 11-22-2014 Sometimes that's just how it goes. Don't worry. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - tsunderebanchou - 11-22-2014 I really miss posting though, and I liked that post apocalyptic thing you did. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Blade - 11-22-2014 You're busy; it's cool ^_^. Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Kat - 11-22-2014 Thank you. Hopefully you'll have more time in the future. No rush. c: Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Tindome - 11-22-2014 Everyone gets busy, it's nothing to feel bad about. ![]() Augh, my Jean posts in that 1x1 are always so short and sad looking comparatively, I feel like such a buttface Alonimi Spamstravaganza - Blade - 11-22-2014 <quote author="@tindome" source="/post/2049/thread" timestamp="1416644014]Everyone gets busy, it's nothing to feel bad about. ![]() Augh, my Jean posts in that 1x1 are always so short and sad looking comparatively, I feel like such a buttface[/quote] D< You should.
