I love avocados!!! YAY FOR HOMEGROWN PRODUCE! :D (...we have a pear tree...hubs makes jelly & sauce from it.)
----v 1/3 our pear haul for the summer. Cinnamoned ones look like honey to me. (Christmas gifts = DONE.)

Watch out with the peppers--whatever you plant them with will ALSO be spicy. (Also Miracle Gro apparently pumps up the heat.) Friends of ours did jalapenos and cucumbers and the cucumbers came out tasting like them sans seeds. O.o
Avocados are spensive for reals. I would eat them all the time otherwise. It's a healthy fat, one of the few things that really does well for my wiggly food-digesting bits.

I got so spoiled living in SoCal for so long, buying like fifty avocados from some dude on the side of the road for five dollars. AND NOW THIS. I basically only eat avocados when I'm visiting my dad, now.

...50 for 5 dollars omg. They're WAY more expensive here. Even at the farmer's market. And they shouldn't be, because we can grow them local.
...also now I'm researching trees and realizing an $80 avocado tree would probably pay itself off in the first 2 years. O.o

People pretend to be irritated by dudes selling produce on the side of the road but THAT SHIT IS CHEAP AND QUALITY. also once there was a guy selling bonsai trees. my cat ate mine, but it was a good bonsai.
... I wonder if you can keep them potted? They would die outside here, but maybe...
