I'm lucky in that our internet bill is only $40 a month (for now, we're in the first year) and we don't need cable. I use my parents' Netflix, HBO Go, and DirecTV logins to watch stuff streaming, I have Amazon Prime for students, and I use <url=https://www.bing.com/explore/rewards?PUBL=REFERAFRIEND&CREA=RAW&rrid=_f3008fa1-c805-44b7-cf8c-213ac7d39089>Bing rewards</url> to cover Hulu Plus so we can watch recent/current stuff despite not having actual TV. We... still mostly watch YouTube.
Although since we're going to be on vacation I need to call our company about getting our account put on hold, since no one is going to be home to use it anyway. Unfortunately we cannot do the same for car insurance. Friggin' car insurance.

Thank you, Dani! I hope things calm down and get better for you @w@ I am trying not to be too excited about the whole thing, since it's just self-published and all... and I keep messing things up. Like not putting an author name on the cover. Smashwords has scolded me so now I need to fix it to get it included in the premium catalog, which I guess means I'll also have to update the one on Kindle... LIFE IS HARD except not really, I'm doing okay all things considered.

(Srsly Blade and I are self-pubbed, it's totes a legit thing. And it's AWESOME.)
2. I tried to do Smashwords with mine and got frustrated, because I made the shiny epub and mobi formats and they wanted...DOC. *cue Hulk rage* Eventually I'll try again. So again, kudos for your success on that front, even if they grumped on you for cover art. *shakes fist* So picky, Smashwords.
3. YAY! it's on Kindle too--I'll go hunting tonight I shall follow the convenient link...lol I keep getting gift moneys toward eproducts so that means I can gets it naow, you get money, and I don't actually have to spend anything, right? Bc gift moneys ain't REAL moneys! (seriously. Because I can only spend them on kindle books.) O.o

I know it's legit <3 I just feel silly because I know there are plenty of people who just upload, like... their literotica werewolf knotting breeder porn. (and they make way more money than me, oh my god, you should see the money some of these people make, the mind boggles) Plus it's only a novelette, really, since it's just 10k. But that's why it's only a dollar! Or so I tell myself.
Smashwords added a feature where you can upload your own ePub, so I just did that. I could not be bothered to figure out how to compile scrivener into a .doc that would meet their exacting standards, so other formats will just have to wait until they get their act together and stop wanting me to use their weird converter thing. WHO USES WORD FOR THIS KIND OF THING. WORD IS HELL FOR DIGITAL FILES. If I have to print something out or produce a PDF file for classwork, that's one thing, but .doc is the worst format in the world for formatting.
